Uninstallation Issues

I’m in a bit of an interesting scenario.

I’ve got too much stuff on my laptop. Can’t download World of Warcraft because I don’t have space. So some games I didn’t play ended up getting the Axe. I saw I had Heroes of the Storm somewhere on my computer in my Control Panel and that it’s taking 22.4 GB. But my battle.net launcher doesn’t see it anywhere. It also doesn’t seem to be a Heroes of the Storm folder in my Program Files x86 but there is a folder in my documents. I can’t uninstall it through control panel because then my battlenet launcher throws a tantrum saying I have to uninstall it through there, but where is it?

Try the Advanced Steps in this article as there may be files elsewhere remaining from Heroes.

Uninstalling Games

If you do a search for the game files and Heroes of the Storm is no longer on the computer, then the game is likely not installed. What’s displayed in Control Panel is not always going to be accurate. The info displayed here is controlled by the registry and if those registry entries aren’t removed, which can happen for various reasons such as manually deleting the game folder, the game will show up despite not being on the computer. You’d need to go through the steps here to manually remove those leftover entries.

Ah, fair enough. Manually deleting the folder is something I can see myself doing. Thank you for the input!
