Unable to connect to game

I’m having issue connecting into the game,
the battle.net client status is shown connected, and I can see my friend list.
Just when I launch the game, it stay in connecting… screen for a few minutes and then went error: You’re disconnected from Blizzard services.
or
Error: your log in attempt is time out, please try again later.

The client is still showing status online though. (client running on my side screen)

This happened 2 days on a roll, I play HOTS almost everyday for the past month,
but this happen in the past 2 days.

I’m using VPN, all the time, since day 1 of the Alpha (I think),
not sure if that has anything to do with this issue.
Playing on America Region, Singapore Server.

I did “scan and repair”, it stuck at 0%.
I did “Check for update.” it ended without any updating attempt.

Do let me know if any having the same issue, and anyone know how to solve this.

Try without the VPN to see if that lets you connect. Your VPN may be experiencing issues and may be preventing you from connecting.

Thanks for the tip, it worked after I disabled the VPN, but why?

I’ll play without the VPN for now and try to figure out what is wrong with the VPN.
