I would like to refresh this discussion–I am having the exact same issue as described by the original poster. Game was launching fine until a Blizzard App update 11/6 in the evening.
I tried the workarounds suggested and when I force windowed mode via the command line argument, the game launches fine. But if I going the the in-game options for video and change it to fullscreen the game minimizes again.
Hey, TrickSh0t! I went ahead and moved you over to a new thread. It’s likely another program causing the game to minimize because its taking focus away from the game. Try closing background applications and don’t forget to temporarily disable the security application as well.
If the problem continues, could you provide a DxDiag file? Copy and paste the text file created and paste it between two ~~~ like so:

This is an instance of your graphics card drivers completely crashing. There’s a couple errors like this in your DXDiag. I can’t tell for sure why that’s happening with just this information, but let’s try something really quickly.
First, reset your video driver settings, then reset your game settings. It’s possible there’s a conflict between them causing the game to minimize.
Other than that, the most likely culprit would be another program, so close everything but the game on PC startup, reboot, and retest.
Finally if all else fails - do you have a different monitor to test on, just as a diagnostic thing? Your current monitor is large, to say the least.

I adjusted to have driver about these crashing that could need help to Blizzard Battle.net support.
Thank you for looking through the DXDiag report. After resetting my video card settings as suggested the game runs in fullscreen mode without issue.
