This is there chance

I’m not offended. I am annoyed that you had a great idea for a thread only to nose dive it straight into Kilometer’s thread about Team levelling. Thus making this one redundant. You don’t like shared levels. We get it. Move on from that topic.

Or like I said leave the game to those who have an idea that doesn’t involve carbon copying every other MOBA. CC’ing won’t make the game successful. Heck it probably won’t even see an up-tick in players. Why? Because why play the clone when you are already invested in the original?

That is why it is so much more important to go after front-line issues, like broken team compositions, broken hero releases and over-tweaking than a comparatively minor issue like team levelling. 'cause I’ll tell you, I notice non-functional composition far more than I notice people not pulling their weight. A bad team has opportunities for recovery. Broken heroes or bad team comp can tail-spin you right from the start. Coincidentally those issues right there are what inexperienced moba players will see first. The team levelling they’ll see later if at all.

Who knows, but we sure will find out in the future.

No. I just brought up shared levels as my main suggestion and was waiting for others but people came here defending and not offering any other suggestions… which I found really, really annoying.

I would say they should make changes to whatever makes the game fun for the most players. It seems they made a lot of changes for competitive play that I don’t really agree were fun. The old Garden of Terror was fun, the new one is boring.

I like games with big plays, lots of kills and interactive objectives. Not sure what others like. Some people probably like being competitive and feeling like they are the best. There are ways to do that that are in line with the fun I like. Apparently MMR and HL/TL level are based on W:L, which IMO is stupid. The game keeps track of lots of stats like hero damage, healing, objectives, ect. There should be an algorithm for how well the player did their job on the team and if they did better than others (even though their team lost) their skill rating should reflect that.

Thinking about it now, the MMR problems are probably why the game didn’t do as well as it could because a lot of people were stuck at a level and couldn’t improve no matter what they did. People who felt they couldn’t move upward left the game because improving and making progress is fun for most people.

And you expected a different outcome because…? By posting shared levels in the opening statement you made it front and centre as opposed to letting someone else raise it. It probably could have gone unnoticed had you listed more items.

Crazy gimmicks are a great attractor. The goal is not to draw players from other mobas, it should be to entice players that would never play a normal moba. That means creating characters that don’t fit into the perfect competitive meta. That was the original draw of Hots in the first place for most players.

The reconnect system def. is a big problem, but it would require a whole new game engine. We definitely won’t be seeing that.

How can this be there big chance if they are understaffed?

*Has less devs, wants BIGGER changes"

…i don’t know what is malfunctioning on you guys.

I can’t wait to see what they will bring us next :+1:

More hero reworks that nobody asked for which will push more peeople away from the game.

Can’t wait :+1:

  1. Not getting rid of shared XP.
  1. More daring hero reworks. They barely touched Kerrigan and left her obsolete W+E combo intact when that was the one thing that needed to change.

  2. Model updates. Murky did it. Brightwing was on the way. Arthas needs it. Keep the old models as cheap skins for those who like them.

  3. Personal opinion: Rework mounts into something else than a boring tool to increase your movement speed. Perhaps take example on Guild Wars 2? Make mounting instant and perhaps even automatic after X seconds out of combat?
