Zeratul has a certain serenity to him
like a graceful etiquette.
He politely stabs you multiple times
he gently ambushes you out of nowhere
naturally I’m mildly drawn to him
tis a pity he’s quite squishy even by assassin standards
I’ve been playing as the oreo teddy bear with a drinking problem lately while dabbing into other healers here and there. Fresh take on the game after tunneling assassins and tanks for a while. Been quite entertaining.
Dragon Shire.
Varian goes top to solo against Leoric. As his Lvl 4 he picks…Taunt!
So while he’s soloing against Leo , he can taunt him and then…I don’t know.
This isn’t the salt mines, but that is funny.
I’ll swap a related story. I think my biggest annoyance is those players who either pick a bruiser for ranked, or land in a QM where their bruiser should be in the solo lane, and they never go there.
Your Varian was a bit clueless, but it’s a step up from some of the frustrating bruiser players I’m matched with in QM, at least Varian knew what lane he was needed in, even if he took the wrong build.
This post is a troll post, please report.
I played a bit of SL tonight, duo queuing with a friend, and the second map to pop up was Battlefield of Eternity. Someone was showing tank, my friend was showing heals, and I knew I would be able to take my favorite Hierarch out for a spin.
For my offlane opponent, the enemy team drafted…
… Chen.
I have never felt so torn about not picking PoA on BoE, but I behaved myself, and took the race build. I probably missed an opportunity to have 700+ stacks, but sometimes you just have to make sacrifices for the team.
What’s that matchup like?
Fun, honestly. On a map like Braxis or Dragonshire, I will 100% go PoA and stack to infinity. I don’t bother interrupting his drinking, and just keep stacking. I faced a Chen in SL on Dragonshire several months ago, and the two of us had the top hero damage in the game, as we literally did nothing but beat on each other for the first 15 minutes. I was just about one-shotting their Tassadar by the end, I had so many stacks.
On BoE, since I went race build, I would use Q to dodge the fire if he hit me with beer, E to interrupt his drinking, W to make him think twice about trying to pick up my globe (he took the quest at 1), and if he wanted to rumble on my side of the map, backswap into towers.
Neither of us were a threat to the other, and I had better siege with AO, so was slowly chipping away at his gate until they sent someone up for a gank attempt. I am guessing they picked Chen to go Fat Illidan against our back line, we were pretty squishy with a Hanzo back there, but it didn’t really work out like they hoped, as any time he went in, Hanzo noped over a wall.
In that Matchup do you take “Titan Killer” at 16?
In the PoA matchup again Chen, absolutely. I also take it against Deathwing. Basically any high HP hero that stands still a lot. I still take Blades of a Templar more often, as it helps when kiting is an issue.
i played artanis (idk how to play him)

Five stack made fun what otherwise would have been a borefest 10min match. Sadly Orphea didn’t understand how to win the game and died more times than I had lightning stacks by level 20. These guys were actively avoiding us and would disappear for another 3min after each sucessful flank.
It took them forever to end the game but randoms wouldn’t have had the patience to drag it out that long.
You would think the blue team would win through early snowball thanks to the amount of poke that we had but red were very stubborn and patient and they knew they can outscale us. This ridiculous level of defiance made the game fun.
Only a single Diablo would peek out at a time while attempting to flank so we couldn’t even keep the pressure up because we couldn’t see anyone else. Walking out casually would result in instant death by snu snu as demonstrated by Orphea, who died 15 times before our first Fort even fell over.
This quickly spiraled into one group avoiding walls and the other one being afraid of getting caught in open field. It could have easily turned into another 30min of suffering because of short Diablo respawn but we were defeated the moment Valla was allowed to press Strafe near our core. Just nothing you can do against infinite duration without any space to move away from her.
Interesting that Blizzard closed and hid the Salt Mines thread but kept this one open.
Why bother with Forum PR if you’re not going to do anything about the game? Super lazy to close the whole thread instead of, you know, moderating actual posts.
