Telling people to kill themselves

Just report and mute, thats all you can do. Unfortunately its common all over the Internet. People get death threats on twitter for example for the most ridiculous of reasons and its impossible for me to even comprehend what goes through these peoples heads. Fortunately on this game you can report, mute and forgot these people forever, let them deal with their own toxic abusive lives and don’t let it effect your own

like i said before just telling someone to go off themselves is not something you can take legal action against. its basically just someone being mean and no one is going to take that up. your only option there is the in-game reporting where you let blizzard handle it and ‘maybe’ they get a suspension/ban/silence on their account.

where some of you are jumping to is if the person actually followed you up on what you said. if said person was that unstable and did follow you up getting rid of themselves… then sure there is a legal option. however, at that point the person is dead and they obviously cant do anything about it themselves. right? its up to the family to do something.

so to get this thread back to where it suppose to be. the OP simply asked if something was acceptable to be saying. here is the blizz answer:

Communication

When participating in communication of any kind (chat, voice communication, group finder), you are responsible for how you express yourself. You may not use language that could be offensive or vulgar to others.

Hate speech and discriminatory language is inappropriate, as is any obscene or disruptive language. Threatening or harassing another player is always unacceptable, regardless of language used. Violating any of these expectations will result in account restrictions. More serious and repeated violations will result in greater restrictions.

basically if you find the language offensive or disruptive it is against the CoC and should be reported.
