Stuck on home screen

When I load HOTS, I get to the home screen, but from there I cannot press any of the buttons or interact in any way. The screen is not frozen (the graphics still move) and I can hear the music. This includes no “on hover” effects getting triggered either. I just can’t interact. It is as though my mouse is not being detected, nor any key I press.

I updated my graphics drivers and have done “scan and repair”. I haven’t played the game for a long time, so this was off of a fresh reinstall (I just reinstalled the game). Also, I have 2 monitors, which might be relevant.

Most of the time when this happens it usually due to Overlays. Let’s go ahead and disable any overlays you have running. Anything from Overwolf to Nahimic, disable them all that you may be using.
Let’s also try launching the game in Windowed mode to make sure nothing is keeping you from clicking on the game.

 From within the Desktop App, click on Heroes of the Storm and then Options > Game Settings.
    Check the Additional command line arguments box.
    Enter -Displaymode 0 and click done.
