It may be my first game or 10th, but as some point, every other day, my GPU spikes to 99-100% and the game lags so much. The uses in task manager processes is usually either HotS or System Interupts (whatever that does).
I know my way around a computer, but not technical enough to diagnose the problem. I’ve run virus scans on numerous pieces of software (Avast, Total AV, Search and Destroy, Malware Bytes etc) My disk defrag is set to once a week I believe. I don’t know what else to try… 
Any assistance would be massively appreciated!
Hey, MattCulley! Sorry for missing this for a few days! Typically, near 100% usage isn’t a concern, but it sounds like there may be some bottlenecking or throttling on the system hardware. A bit more information would be greatly helpful to diagnose the issue 
Could you grab a screenshot of HWMonitor while running the game. Use an image sharing website like imgur and paste the URL between two ` (~ key) like so:
