So the Morales cheese comp is still uncounterable

Morales
Tyrael
Illidan
Zazeebo
Azmodan

We can’t go anywhere because they will just suicide until they win, we can’t do objective cause they will kill buildings, and we can’t guard buildings cause then we lose objective…

Was not a fun game.

Nazeebo and Azmo have low damage, Illidan too.
What’s the problem?
Was it draft or QM?

Artanis to mass blind
Zeratul to stasis your buildings
Falstad to push them off

If they ban two of these heroes, you should first pick the last one or Morales.

If you’re playing QM, you just have to suck it up.

If it’s QM and you have no Falstad or Zeratul it’s probably game over unless you make a desperate counterpush (however they will likely push faster than you if they already have a fort down on one lane, they will also respawn so fast at lv10-13 they don’t care about dying as 5).

If it’s draft and they’ve picked Morales with Tyrael and banned Falstad, Zeratul, there is a 99,9% chance they are going for medivac cheese.

There is still a way to counter this: Convince your team to go back to the damaged lane’s fort/keep the second you see the “Enemy is calling a Medivac” text. You can kill them fairly easily.
If they don’t listen to you, you will probably lose though.

It is counterable, but it requires all 5 players to understand they need to drop whatever conventional way of playing they were doing, and react to the Medivac cheese unless they want to lose the match at minute 12.

When you understand what is happening against your team, you need to instantly decide whether you’re going to gamble and counterpush, or go back and kill them when they fly in. And if you’re in solo queue you need to convince your 4 teammates as well.

(Counterpush alone rarely works - you will almost always be better of first killing them, then pushing while they are on death timers, and when they respawn, killing them again and continuing your push)

counterpush can work if you manage to do it hard enough before they get to 10, it’s the window for you

What thats not the comp

Moralis Tyrael <core
Zerathul < vp
Zagara < maw + summons
Adc or jaina for a strong single target dmg

You could make an argument for the optimal comp, but the comp is flexible. For example, if you weren’t able to lock Tyrael, you could pick Diablo or Arthas instead. Diablo can interrupt an enemy team trying to hearth with Apoc and Arthas can turn off structures with Sindragosa.

If it was on QM there is little you can do. Otherwise counterpick them with Falstad (global + push back), Zeratul (for statis on buildings) and some blind effects. Or you can ban Morales.

I had a Moralas, Naz, Gaz who afk pushed bot lane and took Medivac ult at 10 to fly up to keep and take it down. After that they fly to core and took that down too before we could get back cause Genji was stopping us from hs back with q and auto attacks.

It was Storm League and the game was over in 9 minutes. Morales would fly them to core, tyrael would sanctification, then illidan azmodan and nazeebo would kill the core. They didnt kill it the first time so just flew back 1 minute later and killed it.

I played against this cheese and pwned them really hard. At lvl10 they tried to kill our core the first time and we were surprised by it but managed to defend the core at around 45% hp. Then everybody went back out of our base while the enemy team respawned. I realized that they would just do it again so i was ready to welcome their full medivac in our base. I was playing Alarak and i was able to combo their whole team straight when they got out of the medivac - thanks to the silence Tyrael could not even sanct. That won us the game

That is a very advanced variation of the Medivac cheese. One person with high mobility stays back and blocks you from hearthing back.
That is a very dubious and unhonorable strat, but it does work.

Your forts get wrecked and you can’t even go back because a Genji or Tracer keeps poking you and you have to focus on them instead.

That is exactly how you counter them. Go back and kill them when they get off the ship. Well done.

What do I do when I know I’m being cheesed by this strategy but my team wont believe me?

The enemy fly in and I barely defend with one teammate, but 3 of them just don’t react and keep laning, doing objective or some other stupid thing instead of defending our keep and core.

Fals was banned so can’t blow them away either. I ping a million times and they wont help. Fortunately they retreated as we managed to take down lots of their health and they didn’t suicide. But we lost eventually when they came back on full HP

ah yes. the uncounterable meta tyrant known as morales cheese comp. this must be why morales has had 100% popularity recently.

Nothing. If your team isn’t on the same page and they do this as 5 you lose right there. Just requeue for a new match. And like HailFall said it’s not uncounterable, you just need all teammates to understand what is going on.

Gazlowe, there isn’t much you can do by yourself. After all, this is a team game. If your team drafts bad and plays bad, you just have to deal with it. Luckily, you shouldn’t encounter this comp much in solo play.

Well thats a bummer, sadly yes it was in solo play. That strategy punishes solos like me heavily since my team wont believe that we’re being cheesed. I guess I should only play with at least a few friends to guarantee we could defend this if it ever happened again.

I got cheesed a lot in 1v1 Starcraft - shame on me for not knowing all the cheeses. The issue here is I know I’m being medivac backdoored but I can’t convince my 4 teammates it’s happening.

Well, generally the team with good teamwork will always have better chances to win a match. You can’t control your teammates so there is that… They probably have to loose against this cheese first to learn from their mistake. I guess a lot of players have never seen this before.
At least you tried your best and communicated it. This game is always more enjoyable when you play it with friends who know how to work together

Ah you played sc - a man of culture

That’s not how Juice Pirates even work.

yup… the only way to teach these players is by having them lose 1-2 times to it, otherwise they will never believe u

‘juice pirates’ heavily relies on you having disorganized, low knowledge enemies who either dont know how to defend against it or have never faced it
