Indeed. It’s absolute garbage lately. The players often just either don’t care AT ALL or have absolutely no idea how to play and are rarely punished for bad habits (like we had a Butcher that spent the whole time inexplicably jungling. In 12 minutes he had 2 kills, luckily we had a Hammer who just went straight to the core and the AI did nothing about it.), except in the rare cases they are rumbling around during a AI mass rotation. But, even then, the entire AI will rotate right past a solo hero between objectives, because they have a one track mind.
Total garbage. That’s why the AI team needs to be forced to play this trash heap mode every single day so they can experience exactly what’s going on with it. How can people who never play the mode know how to fix it? How do you even know what’s wrong?

I just feel like adding this into here. For a triple A company like Blizz, this AI is really embarrassing. The VS AI and AI stand ins when people drop. Very very embarrassing.

I have a strange feeling they just used my gameplay data for their A.I… Kind of an insult really. I don’t just stand near the objective and then leave to make laps around the map. I at least click on it, cancel right before it caps, THEN make laps around the map.

Like someone pointed out it seems it is difficult to make the AI juggle between macroplay gestion and focusing on tfs.
We either have overagressive AI on camps/push or a frame perfect focus fire unit that can obliterate anything before it is even able to do an input.
AIs now focus predominantly on getting camps (not that friendly AIs help capture camps, especially when they are ordered to follow) even while their core is under attack. This is yet another clumsy attempt at trying to bandaid the problem, because the AI will start matches going after merc camps, instead of playing the lanes.
Blizzard apparently doesn’t know how to fix their AI or create a logic map for AI teams. I get it, AIs are resource intensive, but this is embarrassing.
Here’s the problem. Players attack the AI’s core. The AI’s (presently) IGNORE the fact their core is under attack because players could exploit it by running away before the AI did anything about it. Completely ignoring the fact the leaving core vulnerable to attack isn’t BETTER, Blizz.
The problem was that the AI is busted in so many ways:
- They shouldn’t break off pursuit of a low health enemy hero simply because they lose sight of them (current behavior).
- They shouldn’t have NO attention span, IMMEDIATELY stopping whatever they are doing (like capturing a boss or a merc camp, then inexplicably leaving it uncaptured, even after they’ve cleared it) simply because an objective starts up.
- They shouldn’t have absolutely no foresight, starting a merc camp or boss camp when an objective is coming up soon.
- They shouldn’t leave an AI hero outnumbered in a lane, ever.
- They shouldn’t leave an enemy hero alone in a lane uncontested unless they are down a hero or near winning an objective.
- They shouldn’t constantly be rolling around to gank, especially early game, especially if they aren’t DPS, though they are showing more aggression, especially during the early game, which is good, but then…
- They shouldn’t walk right past a solo enemy hero, because they are busy going somewhere else. It is EMBARRASSING how many times an entire AI team will just breeze by a solo enemy hero without so much as a taunt.
- They shouldn’t allow minions, mercs, bosses, or enemy players to attack their core uncontested. EVER.
- They shouldn’t run back and forth between objective points, simply because a different objective point changed hands, without leaving a team member to hold the point they have.
- They shouldn’t focus on getting merc camps the entire game, without a point, capturing merc camps that have little to no chance of pushing anything, simply because they are uncaptured.
- They shouldn’t have healers pushing in lanes ALONE. Ever.
Quality matters. This isn’t quality. This is amateur hour.

Games are lasting no more than 10 minutes or so.
AI Core is under attack, half of their team doesn’t defend it.
The AI spends as MUCH TIME AS POSSIBLE trying to do merc camps, instead of soaking lanes.
Blizzard has designed the AI so it throws games.
