The AI’s core is being attacked by a single hero (Sgt. Hammer or some other lane pusher)… The objective is active, but all of the other player controlled heroes are in the top lane, dealing with a boss activated by the AI? What does the AI do?
Well, all of 5 AI heroes are sitting on one of the objectives, ignoring the other objective point until it’s taken by the players, and loses the game, because Sgt Hammer destroys their core… GG?
I check the difficulty settings, and, yes, it’s set to “Elite”.
This is the state of the AI. I thought this game was developed by Blizzard, a triple-A game developer that’s redefined gaming since the 1990’s, and yet there are matches against this supposedly “Elite” AI that don’t make it to level 15.
I literally just played a match where it was basically 4 players against 5 AI, because the Lucio on our team was comically WORTHLESS, contributing all of 811 Siege Damage, 1240 Hero Damage, and managed only 2052 Healing in 13:02 minutes of play. We still won 15 kills to 2.
How does a team down an entire player, with no healing, beat an “Elite” AI, Blizzard? This isn’t Artificial Intelligence. This is Knock-Off Intelligence.
How hard is it to have an AI prioritize…
- Defending their core …
- Ganking players that are out of position to punish poor teamwork …
- Controlling (and then defending) map objectives …
- Diving on low health opponents when it’s perfectly safe to do so …?
Where is the Blizzard of old? #ActivisionBlizzard is #NotMyBlizzard
PS - What in the heck is up with matching 3-4 Healers/Support on a team?
