Does anyone know of a way to permanently remove fog of war from replays, even when focusing on individuals?
I don’t think you can do that.
Here’s a guide with all the replay commands though: Extensive Replay Hotkey Guide
I thought not being able to disable them is a feature. To detect vision hackers by viewing replays.
It’s one of the few real cheats this game has had during its’ history.
i dont understand how you have fog of war to begin with.
all my replays never had any , im kinda surprised to learn there was in the replays lol i dont ever remember doing anything different . its just not there.
is this a joke or something because im falling for it so far lol
If you highlight a specific hero using the number keys (0-9), it shows you exactly what they would see, fog of war and all. You can press E to set it back to viewing everything.
You even hear which announcer that hero had equipped!
(Yes, I mostly use Alarak. Deal with it.)
The replay starts without fog of war and showing everything. As soon as you choose one hero to follow (0-9 buttons), it shows fog of war. Even if you press E to follow all heroes, it will follow all heroes but with fog of war. Basically there’s no way to remove it anymore if you selected 1 hero or all of them.
I usually just clicked the character’s icon and it was following it. I didnt knew about the 0-9 .
Fog changes gets cut in half when inspecting heroes, just to be clear.
Yes. I am wanting a total removal of fog of war from the observer/replay system. I am developing an automated spectator and that involves selecting heroes, instead of manually moving the camera vision which would be far more complicated and out of my depth. I was just surprised there is no option to remove it entirely for replay purposes.
Pretty sure thid wasn’t the case some time ago, it sounds like a bug.
