Queue never pops?

I know you guys get some complaints about queue times being quite long but I can say that genuinely in the last 2 weeks I have been playing I don’t think I’ve had a single quick match game queue pop for me. I have to advertise that I’m looking for party and get someone else to invite me to be able to play the game. I am Australian but I play with the best match setting enabled and I was under the impression that after the search range expanded it would eventually just put me in a sub optimal server. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated. If I queue coop vs ai then I get put in game with 4 ai team mates. If I queue brawl as soon as it comes out I might get a game with other players but if I’m a little late I usually end up in a 20 minute queue and end up with 1 player on opposing side and 8 AI. Should I try changing server and seeing if I can get a game on non aus servers?

Could you please run a Traceroute and Pathping and post your results here? This will help to see if there are any issues with your route to the server.

Thank you for taking the time to help. Sorry for slow reply I knew I was having some packet loss issues but was unaware that it would effect my queue time. I have made sure I now have an ethernet cable connected directly to my modem/router and I hope this has solved my packet loss issues but I remain unsure yet. I still have not managed to queue into a Quick match game and am sitting at 1600 seconds in queue as we speak so I’ve done as you asked and done the traceroute and pathping.

Thank you Reaperpimp.

Your MTR looks good. I can’t see after the second hop if there is any packet loss as whatever is after that hop, doesn’t respond to such test.

Queue times do vary depending on the variables, but should loosen the more you wait. Do you have any issues in other modes like Brawl or Unranked?

I will give you a couple of things you can try in case something is conflicting with Heroes causing your long queues. If you are still having trouble, do try to connect to a different server to see if a queue pops for you.

I have the same issue as the OP. Versus A.I works fine, with or without a group, but Quick Match never pops. I was just in queue for well over 3000 seconds and nothing. I get the same result while in a group or solo.

I had recently checked all of my party members match histories to see if they had played a QM recently and sure enough they had. I was the only one that hadn’t. Now I’m afraid to group with others for QM as it would just waste their time.

I am able to log into another account, queue for QM and get into a game with no problems which makes me think it is account related.

I am having the same issue. i cannot get into any type of game.

Same issue here, two accounts, all non AI game modes. Sit in Queue and game never pops.

I don’t know if this is matchmaking issue, or a game issue. But I waited for 20 + minutes for a Solo ranked queue. That is TOO long. WAY too long!

Hey,

Wanted to jump in and say this has been happening to me as well in Ranked - my queues will commonly run for anywhere from 4500s to over 9000s (no meme intended). When I on occasion actually end up in a game I’ve made a point to ask people how long their queues were, and other players say 10 their queue times have stayed more or less the same as usual.

Given I’m seeing the same group of people in my games often to the point where I recognize screennames (I’m at low Diamond) something makes me think this is more related to my account than anything else.
