Please Wait - Ready Up Not Available

My game has the grayed out ‘Please Wait’ in the ‘Ready’ spot. When hovered over it says ‘Waiting for game mode download to complete’ and appears to be doing no such download. I have checked the scan and fix feature and it says the game is fine. I have also uninstalled and re-installed the game and it still is not fixed. I cannot play any gametype at all.

EDIT: I tried launching in the EU and the game worked fine. However launching in the US I still cannot Ready up for a game.

Maybe wait for it to do the download? This happens to me sometimes, and after about 5 minutes of loading,(I have slowish internet,) it works and I can see the Hero selection again.

I let the game fully re-download and update. I even launched in the EU region and of course it freaking worked in the EU. So I closed the game and re-launched in the US region and it still has the problem of not letting me ready up for matches.

Weird. Not sure how to help then.

Hey Claydium,

In this case, let’s try opening the game folder and go into the SUPPORT64 folder, then run the HeroesSwitcher_x64 as Admin. You may also want to try doing a DNS flush.

I will try the HeroSwitcher fix. I did a DNS flush as mentioned in a different post in the TechSupport forum and it did not fix it.

Edit: I have run the HeroSwitcher and it did not fix the game. Still no idea what is broken…

Ok in this case, let’s get a WinMTR test so we can see what’s happening on the route:

  1. Download WinMTR
  2. Open the WinMTR.exe
  3. Type 24.105.62.129 in the “Host” field.
  4. Click on “Start” and then launch the game. Run the test for about 10 minutes, minimize the game and click on “Stop”.
  5. Click on “Copy text to clipboard” and paste the results here.

The test seems fine. Would it be possible to try testing another network like a mobile hotspot? Alternatively, you could try testing a free VPN.

Edit: After running this second test it suddenly seems to work. Not sure what changed but thanks for the help Zenlaka.
