Please save me from this hell

I dont know who I pissed off… my teammates, the devs, the gods, or maybe satan himself. But for some reason out of my past 10 matches, 7 of those have had a junkrat on my team and 5 of those were losses. So many rocket ride picks, so many claims that “it’s his only good ultimate”, so many 46% lifetime winrate junkrats.

I aknowlege that I have sinned. I am also a problem. When I see this hero get locked in (on either team) my blood flees my head and I become lost in a sick wave of terror. I took off a week to get my head together. I went to confessional, I sacrificed my sister’s bird, and I got untilted. Played a game and won without a junkrat on either team. I thought I was saved and then it happened: he showed up in the next game on my team. I dont even care that we won pls purge this demon from my computer.

So, you’ve angered the gods and came into my world. You shouldn’t have come here.

(Seriously, you shouldn’t have come here, it’s horrible. Wait until your get the 10% health Anubaraks using their E straight into the enemy team.)

Ye its fun to get those Junkers into YOUR team.

Just had one yesterday who died close to 10 times and had less dmg then tanks. And his winrate with him was only 30%.

I say Leo and Junk players are litterely the worst of the worst when it comes to break records of who can feed the most.

Hum… You sure did a lot to remove your curse: confessional → god checked, sacrifice bird → devil checked. Did you try to pray some god of game? I am sure there is one in one of the so many religions I don’t know about. Something like:

“Oh God of Game, I come to you today in redemption of my sin. You cursed me for the sin I now acknowledge. You are really the God of Game and came up with such a terrible curse. I can’t take it anymore and I implore of you. I wrongly went to some other gods; going to the confessional, sacrifying my sister’s bird to the devil. But all of these were wrong. I know it now and I will only pray you, God of Game, now and for all times. Have mercy of the humble player I am.”

I don’t know why people think that Leoric is supposed to die. I like his trait, but they should probably change it to make him idiot proof.

How is that possible tho? I see Junkrat in a very low amount of games.

WTF??? Are you sure these were actual people?

I thought every hero was played the same. It’s playing Leo people think it’s OK to die.

You’re still going to hell if you did this in that order.

There’s really not many legitimate reasons to take Rocket Ride… Even if you are comboing with something like Mosh Pit, why not just take Rip-tire which can jump over terrain, does huge center damage and can chase?

Rip-tire can even peel for teammates by knocking back a diver.

I wonder why people take this ult.

Me neither, because he has one of the better escapes with E. it’s basically a delayed blink, but more failproof than Fenix’s E, which can be interrupted, but Leo can escape for sure.

I would like to know, who dies statistically more Leoric or Uther? I tend to say it’s Leo, but it’s ironic, because Leo has his E, but Uther has no escape.

I guess people like Rocket Ride for the only one reason, because they like the ability to escape from battle, if chased, while Rip-tire stuns yourself while using it. It may be comparable to Nazeebo’s Ravenous Spirit. This heroic is pretty powerful in teamfights, if used and positioned right, but it’s also dangerous, because it’s stuns him.

Who likes to stun himself?

Its a comfort pick like bubble hearth. So if it makes you feel safer using it than I see nothing wrong with it.

You literally explain here why this ultimate isn’t good for wombo combo’s
It dosen’t quite one shot anyone short of glass cannon ming and often times pushes people out of Mosh Pits and similar.

Not saying I disagree I do think it’s the better ultimate, but in the same way technically speaking Feast is still better for wombo combo’s then Jaws, Jaws is still the better ultimate overall for Orphea, same applies to Junkrat.

Pretty sure it’s Leo since he comes back in the same spot , so it makes people feel like they did something right, as they didn’t get sent back to the hall of Storms.

You had no first pick potatoeButcher, potatoeNova, potatoeMurky or potatoeVikings? Lucky you!!!

I take it in qm when see it would do no good to run around and team fight and just go for forts and keeps. Rocket ride gets me out of the lane I’ve been pushing fast. Then I’m free to meet up with my team or go to another lane in a jiffy.

2 health bars, for when you have no healing.
Also, good for kills when the enemy’s caught in a trap (non-teamfight).

I may be writing down my own death sentence but…

rocket ride IS good. i wont say its better than rip tire, however I firmly believe there is a solid argument to be made.

( please note, i am NOT the best player in the world, however i firmly believe that my choices follow logic and are not being made randomly. while i do think im making sound reasons for this topic, i am not 100% sticking with my assumption and im fully accepting any notes from others. also, my experience and matches may not be against or with the best players either, so my experience should not be accepted as a perfect GENERAL example that will happen in your games. honestly, i do not know my MMR because i dont post my matches onine. but i do meet many good players in my matches and ive played with a few forums lads who can vouch for me i THINK lol. thx  )

-Why rocket ride is good:

  1. it gives u a health refresh which is honestly underrated. in a game where healers many not be present in QM/ brawl, a health reset is REALLY powerful especially since rocket ride is on a RELATIVELY short CD. ( its a mediocre CD for an ult tbh. ) the CD allows it to be present in every major teamfight assuming both teams arent excessively fighting.

  2. its a wonderful escape tool. this is important because while junkrat HAS a powerful escape tool, this ult makes him have a chance to play more aggressively. other than teamfights, this allows junky to push further into lanes and rocket ride before getting ganked. this lets him bait the enemy team while legitimately pushing a lane since he has huge siege damage.

  3. rocket ride imo is much more of a utility tool than JUST to come back to a teamfight fast. it allows me to scout camps, bait the enemy, and heck with junkrat’s burst build at 16 it allows me to approach an enemy hero and burst them down ( honestly its my fav build )

-why i think rip tire can be sometimes set aside in some cases:

  1. it can be cancelled by stunning junkrat or destroying the ult. theres an argument to be made that you can also cancel rocket ride. However, just as how a good player can cancel this ult, they can cancel the other. ive actually seen a falstad cancel our junkrat’s rip tire every single time because of gust. i know this may not have been a wise idea but you can get where im coming from. i do believe that rocket ride needs OPTIMAL timing so that theres a minimal chance for it to be cancelled, so i think there is a bit of skill that goes into this ult.

  2. rip tire deals less damage that rocket ride even in the center. this does not matter alot, but when i see rip tire being used, its always to kill off a low health enemy more than to just damage the enemy team as a whole. however i can also argue that rip tire is faster than rocket ride, which is completely fair.

there are a ton more points but they are all exclusive to each ult and i wanted to compare them. I may not understand why rip tire is considered almost always better than rocket ride, but i presented a bit of my PoV. if anyone wants to add a few things, i invite you to correct me if im wrong  .

however, i am completely satisfied with my rocket rides in all of my games. i may not damage the enemy hero, but i get a few other benefits that just make junky much more fun as a whole for me .

what build where they playing, if they had 46% winrate lifetime, im pretty sure they where NOT trap build + riptire and riptire 20.

Poor Shadow, I’ve experienced the same pain. Most of these Junkrat players who claim Rocket Ride is “his only good Ultimate” are players who aren’t able to use Rip Tire correctly and can get direct kills (usually from heroes that would have died to an AA anyway) with Rocket Ride, so that equals “best ult” in their eyes.

There’s only a 2% difference in win rate, but twice less popular. I don’t see the issue. Cris takes it most of the time now.
