Had a competitive match on Sunday where the ping reached over 1000ms.
This makes the game impossible to play.
Add assault to injury, the voice connection keeps connecting and disconnecting even with it disabled in the settings.

Tried Starcraft 2 happens the same problem, lots of ping.
Tried another game, not from bnet played fine, with no problem with lag.

  • Released and renewed the IP.
  • Check for Nvidia drivers and windows drivers and DX and java.
  • Removed, using task manager, all non-essencial apps, and services.
  • Deleted the entire folder of HotS, deinstalled BNet.
Tried to download bnet app failed 2 times (+/- 5 mb), installed, then downloaded HotS again after 3 hours it was done (speed was 20kb to 3mb always jumping all over).

Still having ping issues.

I have the recordings of the matches I did with that ping always more than 400ms, I can share the links so everyone can see.

Finally tried a ticked to support got redirected to the forum…

Howdy Tokame,

Would you be able to provide a WinMTR test so we can gather more details?

  1. Download WinMTR
  2. Unzip the file to your desktop
  3. Run the WinMTR as Admin
  4. Type 185.60.112.158 in “host”.
  5. Click “Start” and open the game. Let the MTR test run for at least 10 minutes to capture this issue occurring.
  6. Click “Copy text to clipboard”
  7. Type two sets of four squiggly lines and then paste the contents of the WinMTR test between: ~~~~ Paste WinMTR Test Results Here ~~~~

Hey there,

Thanks for providing the WinMTRs. It looks like there’s packet loss occurring on the 3rd hop (10.130.12.73) and latency spikes to 300ms+. The connection between PC and router appears fine, but after the connection leaves the router and hits the internet provider’s network that is when things go bad.

I’d recommend reaching out to your internet provider to see if they can investigate this packet loss further. If they can’t find any issues when pinging the router from their end they may need to send a technician out to investigate the lines and device outside for any issues.

In the meantime if you are able to connect through a VPN or a mobile data connection that may help work around the problem and allow you to play with a more stable connection.
