Yesterday, like many others, I reinstalled HotS. A few friends did the same, so we played a few games together.
Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t great. I’m getting constant micro-stutters that I never had years ago when I used to play. It has to be some kind of configuration issue, but I just can’t figure out what it is.
My current setup is:
I’ve tried disabling G-SYNC, enabling it again, lowering the graphics settings, etc., but nothing seems to make a difference. The weird thing is that I used to play at a stable 60 FPS on a much less powerful PC without any issues.
Has anyone experienced something similar or have any suggestions on what I could try?

Experiencing the same problem since months (probably a year or even two?). Main reason I stopped playing the game, and now that I wanna come back, it still persists. I’ve tried some things that people have posted in the internet but none of that fixed the stuttering and slow response. Noticeably, only during the “Try hero” map it doesn’t happen at all, just in QM, AI and ranked games.
You are not alone in this issue but sadly I have yet to find a fix. I have tried every single “fix” on every Reddit post and blizzard forum I could find. My only hope is that blizzard fixes this issue with the new patches and attention the game is receiving. The only thing we can do is try and make our voices heard and spread awareness.
In my case, I managed to find a solution. The problem was related to the CPU.
Once the game is running:

Open Task Manager.

Find the Heroes of the Storm process and right-click it.

Select Go to details.

Find Heroes of the Storm again in the Details tab, right-click it, and select Set affinity.

From there, what I did was leave all CPU cores enabled except one.
That fixed the issue for me completely. Hopefully it works for some of you as well!
