I’m just curious I’ve shown my "love of community " with a significant amount of money (easily 4 figures) what exactly is YOUR FINANCIAL contribution because ultimately without CASH this game get shut down. So whats you CASH contribution to the game ???
I see this both ways, One: You could play however way you want and enjoy the game in any mode. Two: you could play against real people and see what kind of skills you really have. Sure you would lose a lot, I mean I play a lot of TLV and I get yelled at for the smallest mistake. But I kept going, and Know I got about 180 games under them, and I almost never get a complaint. You could play however you want, but games in AI does not show you how REAL players act like.
Money isn’t everything. You could be spending millions but ultimately it’s the playerbase that serves as the foundation for the game. Your money alone can’t cover it. Players are what make the game, the more players, the better the matchmaking, which only serves to draw in more people. I’d rather have more people all giving a quarter of what you give then having people just play Ai and not expanding the pool but giving more money.
I almost play AI now exclusively since HL is remove from ranked.
Cash or not, games are supposed to be fun, and we have multiple modes here for us to have fun. If i don’t like pvp anymore, why should i force myself to play it? Anyway, i think i made my points clear.
Yes, games are meant to be fun. And you’re hurting the fun of others just so you can have your own little amusement.
HAHAHAHAHA
K bye now. See ya in AI games
Money is just the stuff that pays the salaries of the developers, pays for the server farms that code runs on, Pays for the system engineers that maintain the server farms… You know the stuff that keeps the lights on. What exactly is your community going to play without servers, and code and new content ?
Welcome to the real world. Being a for profit company is about catering to your customers and giving them what they want.
Try not to break anything while doing it.
Like I said, I’d rather bring in more players all spending a fraction of what you do, rather than a small playerbase just spending lots of money. You make a stronger community and you are on the path to growth.
That is the problem and what you don’t understand, even though you spend money you play Ai and you aren’t in the player pool. It’s shrinking, more players leave because of it.
The game needs growth and Ai players offer none of it.
Now I am done. Enough of this. It’s getting really pathetic in here. But honestly I should have just expected that given to the type of people I’m speaking too.
You know that even if you keep flaming and harassing me, i won’t come back only because OH MR BLUBBLEZ WANTS ME TO COMEBACK?
Oh wow, has this little argument been going on all this time? I wouldn’t have the energy for it.
Anyways…
I think you misunderstand. I think for a lot of people, people just like to play vs AI and it has nothing to do with any of the other modes. I can see why. AI is low-stakes and a very relaxed environment. You don’t have to deal with a lot of things that come with the other modes, even QM.
Personally, I like to do AI to get my quests done.
This guy thinks that by going: YOU WILL GO TO PVP YOU USELESS BRAT , i will all of a sudden go, Oh yeah, absolutely! Hots community is weird sometimes
If I see you in any of my matches, the odds are good that I will be playing one of the lock down tanks (Blaze, Anub, Mal’ganis), so I will do my best to make them hold still so you can smack them!
And to the larger topic, I play every mode the game offers, depending on my mood, who I am playing with, my internet connection, or if I just want to clear some quests by floating around on Murky for a while. If my choosing to float around on Murky in AI for an evening bothers people that much, well, keep your pants on, I will be back to peeling for you in one of the various PvP modes, likely before the night is over.
Being a tank main, I am used to seeing people get bothered by the weirdest things, so this thread is actually fairly par for the course.
Exactly. I like AIs because of its carefree nature and because i don’t have to worry if i’ll get countered left and right.
My reason is simple. I feel bad when i releatedly kill someone. I do not feel bad beating an AI.
It’s great that you find enjoyment from all the modes
I see some pointless arguing here so here’s some food for thought.
Back when HGC still existed and the ANZ server still had players, I was one of those players who cared alot about my overall win rate and often got super salty whenever a teammate threw/fed or did something I didn’t like. I have probably said many things in allied chat and private whispers that were worthy of an account ban.
After Activision stepped in and cut off HGC funding, I sadly jumped on the “dead game” bandwagon especially since the ANZ server’s player population was already low to begin with, and only played the occasional vs AI games. Recently I decided that vs AI games was just absolutely 0 fun so I decided to jump back onto pvp on a more active server.
In one of the games where I was trying someone out in QM, I got an account level 11 Illidan who had no idea what he was doing and died 13 times that game. If I hadn’t taken a long break I probably would have raged at the poor guy like 2 other players on my team did. However when I decided to look at him on the map and see what the problem was I saw that he perfectly fit the stereotype of a QM Illidan player and cracked up laughing. I’m pretty sure I was the only player who was having fun in that game that was made unwinnable by one player. After that QM I got inspired to play a QM of Illidan myself after seeing that hilarious account level 11 player. Pvp after almost a year of vs AI was so refreshing that I never had the slightest inclination to rage at anyone.
TL;DR: if you’ve had enough of the “stressful” environment of pvp, then consider leaving pvp and chilling in vs AI for a bit, and return to pvp when you’re tired of vs AI. It can do wonders for your own attitude.
Yeah i don’t know if i’ll come back to pvp, but i’m not completely closed to it. And that pointless arguing was mostly by Blubblez. I wanted to talk about something, then he comes and goes mad on everyone. He’s know for this. Oh well. Thanks for the advice.
What exactly is your proof of this. Please do tell because my personal experience says otherwise ?
