People sticking to AI games

It did match you with players way outside your skill level 2 and a half years ago lol

And the playerbase has declined massively since then… so it still does just to get a match going.

making people play a mode they don’t want to play hurts you more. Look at me for an example. I averaged easily 1k games per season in AI and spent a lot of money on this game (you’re welcome) I moved to Storm League when I wanted a change.

If the game had banned or removed AI I would have moved on with my money to somewhere else that let me play the way I wanted.

Sure, but let’s look at a butterfly effect. If all Ai players were playing the main pvp mode, then the game would appear more appealing to other players, which then the game would grow more.

A lot of the problems heroes has, and why many people left is because of the matchmaking. The matchmaking can’t ever truly be fixed because there just aren’t enough players to support a truly balanced system.

If all Ai players went to pvp, the matchmaking would have a larger pool to go off of, thus a lot of the problems people have would disappear, which would only increase growth from there. And, an increase in player growth means an increase in people spending money, which far tops what Ai players like you could spend.

All in all, it would only be healthy for the game. You leaving would have 0 consequence.

Then the AI players would become frustrated when they have difficulties in a game, therefore making them more reluctant to play PvP again. Then players in their team would be frustrated because the AI players would not be performing greatly. These players would be angry at matchmaking, therefore making some of them stop, then go play AIs or stop playing alltogether

First of all yes we have a shallow player pool but we also have a huge issue with game knowledge. Having played 500 games this season I can tell you with great certainty that most people don’t know what bad matchmaking is.

Every company needs paying customers. So the “you leaving (and taking my money with me) would have 0 effect” you are very wrong. Some has to keep the lights on.

I am saying to remove Ai all together. Think of it this way, even if a lot of the Ai players left the game during the shift, there would still be some who remained, and those players would still add to the pool more so than what they are doing now which is not playing at all.

Ai players are basically useless and offer nothing to the game.

Ai players fluctuating into the main game wouldn’t suddenly make the player pool worse as you’d start with a very low mmr and you’d mostly be matched with people just as bad as you.

But those Ai players would grow and get better and move up the mmr and it’d even out eventually.

A fair comparison. This is very tame compared to real life yet you’re so scared of it. If this scares you real life must be a living hell.

That is all I am trying to say. if you can handle that, you can be a big boy and handle pvp too. Do it for the community, stop being a leech. We need you in the pool, not outside it in useless Ai

Truth is I don’t care about your fun I care about the community and the games growth and that goes beyond you.

I have been playing pretty much exclusively vs AI for maybe the past year because my Internet connection has been dodgy and I don’t want to piss people off in a pvp game with ill-timed disconnects. I am from the ANZ server where the player population is so low atm that I often can’t even find a vs AI game within 180 seconds; you can imagine how much longer it’d take to queue for a pvp game.

Nowadays however I have had enough of vs AI due to the predictable/repetitive nature of each game and the horrid programming of the current AI heroes, so I am going back to pvp whenever I have time+good Internet connection. To reliably get games I’ve been having to queue on the Western US server where the ping means I can’t play mechanically demanding heroes like Alarak/Kel’thuzad properly. Apologies in advance for my noob plays and missed skillshots if I see anyone here in a game!

In the next patch, the AIs will receive updates to make them a bit better, but hey, have fun in whatever mode you want to play

You’re the same way. You don’t care about the community of the game at all. You’d rather stay safe in your little bubble where no mean words can ever hurt you. abandoning the community you further the game into its spiraling decline. Someday it may even get shut down, then what? And like it or not, that would be a butterfly effect based around you and people like you. it’s not fully your fault, many things lead to its decline but you are doing your part going against the game instead of being positive for it.

Yep, flaming other people for not playing the way he wants. This guy’s funny
