Not to worry. I already know not all my ideas are good ones.
That is the truth. Some people canât admit they are wrong even when presented with insurmountable evidence. Their ego compels them to be right no matter what so they abandon all principle to inflate their pride.
You guys should check out the Diablo 2 Resurrected forums. There are way more active people and theyâre all sure theyâre right. Every day some new post is like: Iâm pretty sure this aspect of the game is unintended. Then everyone pipes in, half about how fixing that would ruin the game completely, and the other half about how it is unintended and needs to be fixed. Both sides give the same levels of âproofâ.
Diablo :
- Make lvl 7 Eternal Flames also refresh over minions.
- Shorten lvl 10/20 Lightning Breath CD to 70sec instead of 90sec.
Tychus :
- Revert back the last change on lvl 10/20 Drakken Laser Drill (right now itâs HP decay over time whereas itâs far too fragile compared to something like Nazeeboâs Gargantua). In my opinion, it is a bad change for him overall.
Butcher :
- Make lvl 1 Invigoration stacking over multiple enemies to a minimum of 1 sec cooldown (or maybe slightly more).
- Slightly Increase the range of lvl 13 Cleaver.
- Create synergy between lvl 16 Blood Frenzy and lvl 13 Cleaver.
- Change lvl 20 Fires of Hell to something better and more useful (ex: give him 2 charges on it and reduce the CD).
There is no real point in worrying about whether it is a bad idea or not since none of us here are developers. Not like our ideas will be adopted and if we give the Janitor inspiration it is going to be changed so much we wonât recognize it.
Theory crafting can be a fun past time, though I admit I lost interested in tinkering with my Valeera thread as I reached my creative limit.
If I could suggest some non-rework valeera changes:
Lvl 1 - Merge Vigor and Combat Readiness. Vigor is trash, 20 globes for 20 extra energy and +3 energy a second, whereas Subtlety is +50 energy over 5 seconds with no globe hunting required. Combat readiness giving more energy for longer fights seems more appealing though probably not as good as crippling poison.
Lvl 4 - Delete initiative (42% winrate talent lmao) and give the 15% movespeed for 3 seconds to Hemorrhage so AA valeera can be a bit stickier and maybe bodyblock a bit (very easy to walk away from)
Lvl 7 - Uncap Fatal Finesse, literally no reason to limit this talent to 90 bonus damage when the others give SO much more burst without any quest requirements
Lvl 10 - make cloak of shadows grant unrevealable if you use while stealthed. Skill based engage tool gives it more value in certain games. I still pick it very occasionally but hard to compete with 60 armor smoke bomb
Lvl 16 - Make thistle tea reset QWE cooldowns so you can pop it after missing a Q for an escape or to keep chasing your target. Also makes fatal finesse more appealing (kind ofâŚ)
That could create problems with pathing meaning most of the movement abilities often wouldnât make you travel the max possible distance. Temporarily removing unit collision during the animation to fix one issue could then negatively affect many other abilities which for example depend on units being crushed into terrain or walls.
- Valeera Rework
- Some Kael Buffs, like on Fel Infusion. From 4% to 10%. Sunfire Enchantment (7) can stack twice, if you take Twin Spheres on 16.
- Sgt. Hammers Orbital BFG feels way to weak, after they removed the Structure Damage.
- Buff Leorics Ghostform. Why he doesnât benefits from all the talents, if heâs dead? Like, you picked the increased Q and W range talents, but they donât work on his Ghostform. Why?
On Leoric. I donât think I want to encourage people to die by buffing his dead form. Traits that donât do anything unless you die are bad enough.
Could just have it if you die as a Leoric to a Fort/Keep you lose 50% effectiveness or so when you go all shady, perhaps even a 50% additional penalty to respawn reduction via his drainâŚor just respawn in general due to his unique afterlife capabilities.
If that were applicable, Leoricâs afterlife could be buffed, but dying via fort/keep or even tower would be a nasty smack up side the head that youâll want to avoid as a Leoric player. Or at least a Leoric player that has more than two brain cells.
solo storm league would fix SO much. i still donât know why they donât enforce it. it would also help with the smurfing since a big reason people smurf is to play with friends in storm league / carry friends / help others cheese ranks.
That could backfire though. Teamfights often happen around forts and keeps. So youâd get punished for joining your team.
Personally, I would re-design the game so no character would need to die to have a trait.
Because the population is too low. Thatâs why it was removed.
About the only counter argument I could provide is giving Leoric a hidden passive where if more than one teammate is near them the penalty is negated, but that is over complicating things.

New level 20 talent: Actual Cocoon
¡If the entrapped hero is not broken out buy their teammates, they get transformed into a beautiful butterfly for 3 (or more) seconds.
With an aoe mind control, for all its nearby allies. Everyone is attracted to that beauty.
Forum and game update: Have our in game avatars available for selection on here.
Edit: Also have us able to show our in game stats on here as well with us given the option to hide them alongside our post history.
The only hard part about this idea is if they want to limit it to what each user has unlocked. If not, it could probably be done in an afternoon by any average web developer.
It probably wouldnât be that difficult and my tacked on stat thingy wouldnât be either. They have a stat sheet for players over on the Diablo 3 forums and I wouldnât be surprised if they also have something similar over in the Overwatch playground.
Iâd honestly be totally fine if the rework in question was just nerfing L4 L7 L10 L16 and reworking L20âs 2 dead talents (play againâs upgrade and respawn time reduction). Assuming WR ends up around 50% I donât really care I just want more talent variety.
I really donât understand why the HotS team has always seemed so timid to rework them when Iâd argue they have a very boring talent tree despite having so much potential to have one of the most interesting from them being able to choose between basic abilities or passives, just that half of the basic abilities in question are bribe and an unviable option.
