So I was about to play HoS but I keep getting a instillation download error every time I try to launch the game. So I uninstalled the game then I re-downloaded the game and patches. Still the same error… so I do some digging around and find out that a file needs to be fix but I find out it was because I turned my OneDrive OFF on my computer. From this information I found out that files are sent and read threw my OneDrive system and I had no idea the game did this on a user basis. So why with the OneDrive? I thought that was for my Microsoft account info. Also I had my game downloaded to my secondary, D: Drive and having information made on a file on my, C: Drive (Main Drive) without my knowledge takes up system space that I could of used/arranged myself.
The game stores things like settings and replays in your Documents folder which is generally going to be on your C drive. This is the case for most of our games as well as many other games. If the Documents folder is being synced by OneDrive then its going to cause issues which is why if the game is crashing, we’ll want to make sure the Documents folder isn’t being synced or uninstall OneDrive completely to test.
