That’s and there’s a dozen hard counters to hammer. Thrall and Jaina didn’t make the OPS list but they’ll shut Hammer down completely.
B4ag thread is real.

It’s funny on another thread they’re discussing how being well rounded makes you worse and the best players in general who climb fast are 1 trick ponies.
I’m with you. What’s really inconsistent in this game is mid low ranks and MM, not my game play.
Yes, look at the top players on the GM ladder and they all predominately focus on a single role and a very select flew heroes.
That’s not just me making a wild guess, that’s what the data presents.
It’s not romantic at all to think that the best players get to the top of the ladder by not focusing on any of these ideals but rather hedging their bets statistically.
If you hate ranked so much, then just play quick match. The game is filled with smurfs and uneven matchups in every mode. If you spend a lot of time playing a wide range of heroes and get to know the game, you’ll know who counters who and who is good on what map. Being good at ranked means you have a conceptual understanding of a good portion of the game. Objectives, counters, synergies, good hero picks according to the map, meta picks (for bans) and so on. If you only play one hero, it will hinder your ability to put yourself in another hero’s shoes. But if you play a wide range of heroes, you will know how to play against them. There is always a little bit of luck that goes into winning games, especially in quick match, and a lot of it is out of your control. In ranked drafts, you have a little bit more control over what happens. In quick match, kharazim could get matched up against a brightwing, or a really tanky tank could get matched against a weaker one, you never know what you’re going to get. alexstraza into an ana? You can easily get countered and you have no control over it. Ranked gives you the ability to not get countered, and counter your opponent. Keep playing ranked and get into better leagues where you will face better opponents. I guarantee you that if you try to play hammer in high platinum or diamond, you will be destroyed.
At the top ladder ppl know what to do, so you don’t need to be able to do their jobs. You won’t carry there but cooperate as a team even as randos.
But if your allies are bad, you need to make up for it.
Obviously this can be achieved with one tricking if someone is so above the others mechanically, with their micro. But if you otp but can’t reach Masters, you’re not good at it and should stop.
That is exactly the point, kinda.
The matches will always be inconsistent – random teammates, random enemies, different maps, many different heroes.
But what is consistent is the individual in every match… more or less, discounting improvement or tilting and such.
So if you cannot climb, it’s because you are consistently not doing enough to climb, aka you need to improve.
Not like stopping being an OTP is going to make them reach masters. Everyone has limitations or simply don’t improve enough.
I mean, everything is up to the individual. I’m sure that there are reverse OTP’s that are so obsessed with a single hero but they are actually really bad on them, like Zenas, who is so horrendously bad on Xul and only ever goes one build and doesn’t take the map or draft into account at all that he would probably have better results if he doesn’t OTP Xul.
You’ve based this on one single sample.
Single instances of data are irrelevant statistically.
I wish you’d have had a better education. Like going so personal that you hope I don’t have children because what I said implies that you aren’t that good on a videogame, lol. Grow up.
This has literally been your MO on the forums in every interaction I’ve had with you.
You’re far from a beacon of objective rationalization.
More like dragonball z were they have to spend the next 10 episodes talking.
Where did I say anything real life related to you? You can link it here freely.
This isn’t a case of statistics.
It’s literally the only thing that’s relevant in this conversation.
As usual you just speak nonsense because you don’t understand what people are saying.
I wont get dragged into your nonsense and continue ignoring you.
Of course you will, because you have no clue what you are talking about and don’t want to get dragged into a conversation where you’re forced to just spout out more romantic daydreaming nonsense about what what is needed to progress on the ladder.
My Masters is no more your business then your kids mine.
I chose to be good at the real world. You chose a video game and it’s corresponding forum. Also, being selective, rather than using my statements in there entirety to formulate a condescending response… I suppose you are the expert in lack of comprehension and childish behaviors.
I’ll get over it, promise.
Yes, because he possibly couldn’t be doing anything else in the real world. Karabars has transcended this mortal coil and now exists in a pure state of HOTS.
First, all I said that if you want to reach a rank but all you do is otp-ing and you don’t rank, it doesn’t work, it just doesn’t, otherwise you would still climb, so you should change a strategy (the “you” was indirect you, not you-you btw). But only if you want to climb. If you enjoy your rank and otping, just keep doing it.
Second, just because you say that me as a Master player giving advice to you is the same as you saying you hope I don’t have kids, it won’t be the same. Like I’m sometimes baffled on the things I need to explain here that should be given.
Also, I did not choose this game (and its forums) over the real world. I was always a “casual”, who chose the real world, it’s just [one of] my hobby[s]. I’m working, I have a fiancé, I have a bunch of close friends, I do many non-HotS or videogame related stuff. Like can you have a point without trying to falsely discredit me? Lol.
Sorry, my Masters degree and I made zero attempts to discredit you. Your arrogance is making you see something which was never said or implied. Anyways. You do you. Wag your finger some more and maintain your superiority complex. There is no point in discussing anything with someone who cannot take a difference of opinion and sees themselves as always right.
I sincerely wish you the best.
I love the irony here.
When Karabars was referring to your education, he did not mean your academic education, he meant your upbringing, as someone who went “I hope you don’t have children” from being told that you might not be that good at games.
The irony is getting to lethal levels here as your arrogance is blinding you.
