Since the last post was too troll induced, according to the community and its moderators. How does one open a discussion about removing it? I made it simple and clear.
I want it removed from Aram. Please and thank you.
For those that want a discussion on it, here goes.
It does not promote team play, especially in a single lane map. The off chance that the enemy team is so terrible, that it can be used to back door is almost non-existant.
Maw provides MORE dps, MORE CC, More team fight potential. In a game mode where TEAM FIGHTING is the most prominent, it only makes sense to remove the ult that doesn’t promote team fighting.
Nydas provides 0.4 sec cdr per basic attack while on creep. Nydas also provides additional creep, which helps controlling select zones in the aram map for keeping push momentum going.
A major part of her contributions are her summons: they block damage, enable the team to push without minions, and deal considerable damage in the late game.
Sitting in a Nydus gives fountain regen, which allows Zag to get the mana it requires to be able to spam her spells.
Yes it is bad for team play. Ergo it is a selfish ult in aram that doesn’t help your team. The only time I would say it isn’t a huge detriment to the team would be when you have a Zag only match.
99.99% of the time when that ult is chosen, the worms are either destroyed, the creep is destroyed so they can’t be placed, and the person using it could be helping the team in a much more meaningful fashion. Like using maw in a crucial scenario to save someone, to secure a takedown, to block a path, to interrupt another ult like ETC or Anduin who use Mosh or the Heal ult respectively.
If anything, it’s the better teamplay ult. It allows you to recover hp/mana which helps with healing not being too stressed out about you. Also gives vision. You can easily use it to go back to lane faster, backdoor, ganks…
Not every team based skill needs to either deal damage or CC.
Maw is mostly used for the big plays/youtube videos. It’s hard to land without team wombo combo CC. Plus, in an one lane map, it can block your teammates easily and get them killed.
Others have already pointed out to you the pros and cons of both of Zag’s ults. Neither of Zag’s ults are bad, or cause issues in ARAM. Nydus can be a “bad” pick in some situations, but players are given the freedom of choice, and they sometimes make the wrong one.
Heroes like Leoric and Hammer, or Ults like Rag’s Lava Wave, I understood why they were a problem that needed to be removed or disabled. Nydus? Picking it or Maw is a choice that is not game breaking in any respect.
And if we’re gonna be removing things because “selfish choice”, then half the heroes, talents, abilities, ultimates need to be removed from aram.
Nydus gives Zag a super strong sustain, which can mean a LOT in Aram. It gives her CDR, which means more dmg. A lot more than from Maw. And she can travel faster after respawned.
Some players struggling as Zagara and picking that Heroic (if it was truly on the Zag’s and not the rest of the team) won’t make the Heroic bad, and thus it’s removal is not justified, but rather unintelligent of a request.
So zag being potentially able to be on creep 100% of the time gives her a 1.6 second cooldown on abilities if shes attacking constantly over 5 seconds? Totally worth getting 1.6 seconds off a cooldown to use it again when you spend 5 seconds attacking to get said cooldown off.
5 seconds divided by 1.25 (her attacks per second) = 4
.4 x 4 = 1.6 cooldown

temporarily leaving to heal/mana regen > dying because of low hp / useless because low on mana
Granted, you should manage your mana accordingly, but Zag is pretty mana starved hero (you can’t spam Hydra without getting low on mana). Players hearth to replenish all the time in normal games, why can’t you understand that regarding Nydus in ARAM?
What is this about really? Did some Zag go afk inside Nydus or something? In healer-present match, it’s not really necessary (more a nuisance/bad pick I would say), but can’t you seriously see the merit of Nydus in no healer match?
