So while this isn’t a game breaking issue, it is a little bit annoying. Whenever new nVidia drivers drop, the Experience app will auto-optimize the graphics settings up to 2715x1527 DSR, and the info icon next to it says ‘The game will be rendered at a high resolution then scaled to your monitor’s native resolution to enhance image quality’, but my monitor doesn’t seem to do that. I can just revert the settings back no problem, but I was curious if anyone else had run into this and knew what was going on. Thanks!
if you want to learn more go here it is more informative than me trying to tell you about it and confusing you.
the short of it though is unless you are having problems? dont worry, its not doing anything bad. you can always turn it off though.
That’s the thing though, I already saw that while I was digging around for information, and I’m pretty sure my monitor isn’t 4K (it’s an Asus VE228). That’s probably the reason I’m having problems as far as I can tell, but I wanted to check here in the off-hand someone else had ran into this. Thanks for the help though, much appreciated!
it doesnt have to support 4K. make sure to watch the video as it explains it. it takes high resolution such as 4k and scales it down to lower resolution. giving you higher quality.
you can turn it off anytime in your NVidia control panel if you are experiencing a lot of framerate issues though.
also, if you dont like Geforce Experience automatically doing things… you dont have to install it either. at least last i checked you didnt have to. you should be able to do a custom install without it.
also by some interesting coincidence i have a ASUS VE248H
Ah, missed that part, didn’t watch the video. Will do so now, thanks again!
