New matchmaking mechanism!

Dear Blizzard!

There are big problems in the ranked system. We lose in the gold and platinum leagues because of players who do not know how to play the game or who want to play the game as they please. Even though I am the player carrying the game, someone dies 10 times and tells everyone that I am a troll player (I experienced this myself, a problematic individual who tries to enjoy the game by annoying me instead of playing it well). In the end, we lost and he and I both lost 200 points, does that make sense? You need to introduce performance scoring, Valorant implements this very well.

You can do something like this;

1- The MVP player must get 100 points whether he wins or loses, so even if he loses because of someone else, he loses 100 (-200+100) points. When he wins, he must earn 300 (+200+100) points. Other players in the top 5 can earn 50 points, for example! This way you prevent toxic players from sabotaging us.

Cause: I used to be a high diamond player, but now I’m playing with a new account and I couldn’t move up from the gold league. Should I try to direct people or play my game? I can’t play the game because of texting. The man does not come to the missions, and we see that the enemy is going to kill him in a mass. We warn him, but he does not retreat, all he does is push the lane and die every minute. I don’t have to play with this guy!

2- Also, when the teams are being formed, instead of having to get a tank hero, he gets an assassin and says he wants to play with him. What the hell? We have reached the Platinum league and the man says he still wants it. I want to reject this game and don’t start playing it. You have to push people to play correctly! those who want to play the hero they want should play a quick match. There should be a voting system for teammates and the game should be started accordingly (An example is in Age of Empires).

3- The player who is reported a lot in the game should be punished in terms of performance too! I’m not here to play this game with problematic people! We play 4 or 5 games in a row with the same guy on the same team or the opposing team, everyone reports every time and nothing happens. I will play 3-5 matches that day anyway, but the whole day is poison for me.

We don’t necessarily have to form a team and play, the game should think about us too. I get it, it doesn’t have a large player base and HOTS doesn’t seem like a game you care about, but you need to make some improvements for loyal players.

If you can solve these problems, I believe many players will start playing in ranked games. We know they play QM or ARAM due to a bad MM system. And all other troll players will have to play properly or remain in low bronze.

HOTS is an ideal game for me. I don’t want to play LOL or DOTA.
Please take a little interest in this game…

what a selfish and bias post. grow a back bone and enjoy life.
get friends and play with friends simple solution.

wtf? how do you expect to grow a fan base of the game if you have toxic players?

I 100% agree with this post. Since HOTS is a team-based XP game, one player feeding or doing dumb stuff can really bring you down. Newbies are allowed to play ranked, and they literally don’t know what’s going on. MVP or even collecting a massive amount of XP to help your team win doesn’t mean anything. That’s ridiculous!

I agree with 1. The deduction on rank should be minimized if you contributed more than other players. I’m not married to my team; we don’t need to split everything 50/50. XD I’m also for gaining awards; you get more XP. Same thing, if you contribute more, you get more, win or lose.

I agree with 2. Most players pick heroes they are comfortable with. When players pick troll heroes for the situation, they aren’t comfortable with many heroes or not enough in each class. I propose that to play ranked, you need a certain number of gold heroes in each class—3 tanks, 3 assassins, 3 healers, etc.—or at least have a certain amount of levels before being able to play ranked. Ranked becomes a serious must-win situation. People make time out of their day to play uninterrupted and give it their all. Why let trolls or people that don’t care enter and leave as they please? It should be an earned right to play ranked.

I agree with 3. The reporting reasons don’t have enough for poor play or low intellect. Again, it’s not enough experience and learning the game deeply. From an experienced player, it’s easy to see who is experienced and who is acting like they are playing against AI.

If this was QM, I could let this slide; we all need to learn somewhere. I find more experienced players in QM than in Ranked a lot of the time. I keep getting matched with trolls in Ranked, and I’m bronze at level 1431—ridiculous.

Also, I propose a forfeit system. Not allowing teams to forfeit when the game is over or half the team isn’t trying is disrespectful to loyal players like us, wasting our valuable time. Please Blizzard, do something about HOTS!!

This is by far the worst matchmaking and ranking system I’ve ever seen, and I’ve written a lot of netcode for multiplayer games since 2004…

No forfeit vote
No performance bonus or penalty
No ELO averaging
No solo bonus vs team players
No bonus for MVP voting
No functional reporting system?!?!?!?

It’s a wonder how Blizzard ever was one of the biggest developers in the world…

The problem is, what happens to the players who don’t get MVP? It’s a team game and not fair to the ones who don’t get MVP and other actions are vital to the win. Last weekend I lost two whole ranks because people got mad at one person for playing a low winrate hero that they are good at, but have a low winrate because of people who troll or don’t know how to play forcing a team to lose. I’ve also run into the people who die repeatedly in a match to throw the game and annoy their team. It’s annoying and it means I can’t really play some days because of people with bad attitudes. I’ve been brought down to bronze 5 and had to claw my way back up to silver, on both EU and NA. I got to silver 2 then went down to bronze 1, and I’m now almost silver 4 again. It’s a process, and you may have to take roles you don’t normally play to win. In my experience, people play what they want, and do what they want in the lower ranks. Plus it seems when I group with others they make mistakes and decide to ARAM instead of soak lanes and do camps, so I’ve steered clear of that as well. I’d suggest just contributing to the xp gain of the team and when objectives are up or if they are team fighting, you can spare some time between waves and go in and assist killing enemy players.

I hope that helps you.
