New Hero Suggestion - Warcraft Druid Multiclass (Feral)

When it comes to Multi class heroes, like Varian in particular, is the ability to adapt to particular scenarios. Varian, as a hero, as an ability to complete multiple compositions that make no other game alike.

Getting that off my chest, allow me to present my quick #showerthougths concept for another Multiclass hero - Feral Druid.

Bear Form fulfills the role of a Tank. (Hotkey 1).
Cat Form fulfills the role of a melee Assassin. (Hotkey 2).
Break Shapeshift into Night Elf form - Hotkey 3.

Bear Form Utility Kit

  • 1 - Bear Form - uses Rage as it’s ability source Rage builds up with the use of abilities and melee attacks. Jumping into Bear form generates 20/100 Rage & boosts HP by 35% to match Tank general health pool. 20 physical armor as passive.(Available as Tier talent)
    • Q — Maul (5 Rage) - Enhances next Auto Attack deal extra damage, applies 40% slow for 2.0s(Slow is available as a Tier Talent)
    • W — Swipe (20 Rage) - aoe damage infront 90 degrees arch. Similar mechanic to Yrel Q stun
    • E — Charge (0 Rage & generates 2 rage per minion hit, 20 rage per hero hit) - dashes forward and stuns all nearby enemies for 0.5s (Stun functionality is available as a Tier Talent)
    • D — Frenzied Regeneration - to restore 40% health over 3 seconds. Must have at least 30/100 rage available. Consumes 30 rage. 60.0 seconds CD.
    • D_2 — Enrage - Reduces Frenzied Regeneration cost by 10 Rage & reduces it’s cooldown by 20 seconds. (Available as Tier 1 talent)

Cat Form Utility Kit

  • 2 - Cat Form - uses energy like Valeera. Jumping into cat from grants 40/100 Energy and static speed boost 10% (Speed boost is available as Tier Talent)
    • Q — Mangle (35 Energy) - Direct Damage & applies Bleeding increased effect (Bleeding Effect is available as a Tier talent).
    • W — Rake (30 Energy) - Applies DoT that is enhanced by previously applied Mangle.
    • E — Tiger’s Fury (0 Energy) - Restores 60 energy and increases damage dealt by 30% for 4.0 seconds (Damage boost is available as a Tier Talent).
    • D — Static Trait - Basic Attacks on Enemy Heroes restore 2 Energy per hit & increases Movement Speed by 2% up to 10% — allowing Cat Form go upto 120% unmounted. (Movement Speed Trait is available as a Tier Talent)
    • D_2 — Dash — Increases Speed movement by additional 30% for 3.0 seconds. (60.0s cooldown) (Available as Tier 1 talent)

Heroic Abilities

  • Heroic #1 (R1) — Mark of The Wild — Applies buff to all nearby Allied Heroes. Grants 50 Physical & Magic resistance & improves healing received by 50%. Lasts 10.0 seconds. Does break the shapeshifter form. 1.5 second cast time. 50.0 second CD

  • Heroic #2 (R2) — Berzerker’s Rage — Reduces all Feral abilities cost by 50% for 12.0 seconds. Does not break the shapeshift. 60 second CD.

Basic Utility Kit (Out of Shapeshift)

  • Q — Thorns (20 Mana) - Apply Thorns on a selected target or self to deal AoE damage to everyone nearby. Damage doubled to Heroes. Can be applied to Allied Heroes in quick succession.
  • W — Rejuvenation (60 Mana) - Applies Rejuvenation on self, (Heal over time) healing 20% of maximum health over 2.0 seconds. 12.0 seconds CD.
  • E — Battle Roar (50 Mana) - Enhances Rage or Energy generation for next Shape Shift by 50%. 25.0 seconds cooldown.
  • D — Nature’s Grasp - Applies self buff to root Enemy Heroes. Can be used prior to casting Cat or Bear forms . Stores 2 charges. Cooldown per charge is 20.0 seconds. Can be used in quick succession to consume 2 charges. (Tier 1 talent can allow increase roots count to 3, but removes double stacking. Increases cooldown to 30.0 seconds)

Additional Character Notes:

Even though this does allow every player to switch between the forms at any given moment in time, the idea is to allow talents to decide what you are playing. Basically, Bear-specced player will deal significalty less damage in cat. Cat-specced player will have much lower HP/Survivability in Bear form.

  • Player isn’t meant to play this Hero in a non-shifted form. AA in a Night Elf form will deal zero-to-nothing damage. (15-25) and will be melee. Whereas Bear form (slower and Harder) and cat form (faster and less hard) is what intended for constant use.
  • Shape Shift forms have internal cool down of 5 seconds - to prevent constant jumping between the forms.
  • The idea is to allow hero to “pre-buff” prior to engaging.
  • Hero that will have an ability to “rotate roles” during a fight.
  • Tier Talents will be contributing to either of the Shapeshifts, thus making either one primary, leaving another form as secondary.
  • Mark of the Wild (R1) Level 20 improved talent will additionally apply Nature’s Grasp to all affected.
  • Battle Roar (R2) Level 20 improved talent will additionally reset Tiger’s Fury (Cat) or Enraged Regeneration (Bear) & prolong its duration by 1.0 second per every Auto Attack on Enemy Heroes.

Thank you.

Well written, the idea is cool.
But it is nearly a copy paste WoW feral Druid.

Also doesn’t translate well into HOTS the way you have written it at the moment.

I like the idea though, could we throw balance into the mix aswell?
