Murky as a melee assassin!

:joy: Yea Murky in the assassin section is already funny enough, with the changes/nerfs to his fish tank I highly doubt he will be able to compete with any other hero within the same role.

Also his auto “melee” attacks are the weakest part of his kit… I could see him being more of a support since that is where they dumped The Lost Viking but man I sure hope new players do not select Murky when people request an assassin while drafting…

Then with the new QM system we can expect to see Murky be paired against heroes such as the Butcher (FREE MEAT!) who is in the same classification as Murky, what a joke…

Murky is the second cutest video game character I have ever seen

What’s your opinion on TLV?

I think, like Rag, he would fit better in a Mage category than his current one. They may have melee basic attacks, but the vast majority of their damage comes from abilities.

Murky is VERY much a late game assassin, as he can kill almost ALL other assassins within 4 seconds at lvl 20. Sure, pre-10, he doesn’t do much damage, and he needs 20 to be really useful in team fights outside his ult, but once he hits 20? A power spike that not a SINGLE other hero in the game has.

Rag will be a bruiser though , which is also odd considering his low health pool… Xul is a bruiser as well but he has the kit to enable him to fill that role well even though he does not have the hp for it.

Yeah that’s why I still consider Rag a Mage, not a Bruiser. He doesn’t have the sustain or durability to be a Bruiser, so clearly whichever dev made this decision has never played him.

I don’t think you’ve actually seen good Murky players then.

In most games I play as Murky I usually end up as the highest or close to the highest damage in the match. A well aimed March of the Murlocs can pretty much decide a teamfight.

The irritating part though, is I never make MVP because way too much emphasis is placed on deaths.

IMO the worst heroes classified as a bruiser is DVA… At least Rag is nice talents and can better contributes to fights and objectives

And with the surge of new players due to Blizzcon I have been running into so many Dvas…

Ahh, Murky has been a melee assassin/bruiser since his rework, he just has the specialist tag…

Not really, considering only tank, healer, and ranged DPS matter for the MM in the new QM rules. D.va being placed in the bruiser category means she takes one of the extra 2 spots in the team that’s it. It doesn’t mean she is matched against another bruiser.

Third cutest video game character I have ever seen (in terms of average cuteness per viking), tied with Cho’Gall.

Yeah, Bzzzzd has lost control of the game and just keeps putting bandaids on. They have no idea what to do with specialists and it shows.

Murky has been an assassin alpha. Each rework he has been more of one.

One talent build definitely puts Ragnaros in the bruiser section. Though we can’t really start classifying heroes on different talent build. Though it would give Varian some company in his category…

What’s weird about that? I always do first or second damage to it.

The new class system is bad just as the old one is.
It would make way more sense for Blizzard to introduce something like DotA 2 does, which gives players waaay more info on what hero is good at what.

Also, Mele & Ranged Assassin ‘classes’ make no sense.
Would be better to at least put all the Assassins into one class and then have a separate tabs for people to filter trough melee and ranged heroes in all other classes.

Lategame murkies are terrifying.

Someone never ate slime combos.
Someone never played against teams who can octo focus/delete
Someone never saw what big tuna kahuna does.
Only ignorant players dismiss murky as a threat.
