Metal Support Returning?

Ever since it was removed, the game has been unplayable on my Mac. Is it returning anytime soon?

Would love an official response, I’ve just played on my mac on 2k resolution, and didn’t got above 30 fps :frowning: (mbp 2017)

There are no any further plans on adding Metal back in the game. The DEVs are satisfied with the old OpenGL system.

As long as it is possible to start the game on Mojave using OpenGL, they will simply not care. Even though the game runs on low fps, crashes etc.

Since it seems like HoTs days are gone for us there are a few petitions to sing trying to make Blizzard refund the money Mac OS user spent on this game if you’re interested.

I’ll sign it. I spend money on skins, and support a game that does not support me.

I may be mistaken, but isn’t Apple phasing out OpenGL soon? I think we’re doomed unless they can get the issues fixed with Metal 1.

Yes we are :confused: I used to be such a huge fan, got all the merch, yet I think the game is no longer for us anymore :confused:

stopped playing only coz no metal support… Like the game but rebooting every time to Win is a pain in butt

Lack of metal makes this unplayable on a 2017 with a radeon 580 I should have no problem what so ever.

What a joke.

The game performance on Mac detoriates from update to update. Please, bring Metal back.
