Mal Ganis is still OP

A Mal Ganis is so much better at tanking than oh say Muradin. He can sleep a whole team and that’s not even his ult! Its hard for a whole team to even take him out, and he wins a 2v1 every day of the week. Either buff the other tanks or nerf him. Thanks!

Malganis is clearly overtuned … An increase of mana costs or cooldowns and a decrease of the speed boost on the “E” ability should do the work in my opinion … Btw, he does way too much damage for a warrior … I hope Blizz nerf Malganis ASAP

Play Ana and just lol as he gets overconfident. Also CC ruins. Inb4 CC counters every hero. Some heroes are more vulnerable to it. A root is practically a silence for a malganis

45% healed on damage dealt seems really high too.

main problem of malganis is the nice combo i do all the time, this is very op.

Triple claw, (stun), then i sleep everyone, good job you killed a whole team with a jaina or a kaelthas. And you can’t be down easy, you have chogall against you ? Great take conversion talent and when you will die, you take his life and he will die, not you.

Malganis are not easy at all to take down, he can run away, got lot of cc (the sleep is a very hard cc, more strong than a little stun, because target stop move) then this is easy to land SKILL or AOE on them. Malganis + kaelthas, you can 2 vs 5.

Personally I don’t mind the sleep. Maybe a 1 sec increase on Fel Claws and a bit of tweaking on his sustain trait would suffice. Can’t say much about his ults since I haven’t checked yet. IIRC Carrion Swarm was nerfed aka a cd increase.

Also Free Mal’Gaynus week.

Winning against 2v1 against who?

Afk players in the kitchen?

Seriously, WHO?!

SHOW. US. DAMN. REPLAYS. TO. PICK. UP. YOUR. CLAIMS.

He’s too strong in the backline, has too much dive, absorbs too much damage, and does too much CC. All of those factors combined make him overtuned, and something needs to give somewhere. He has counters but so does literally every single hero, that’s not a good argument against his kit being overtuned in the majority of situations.

People are figuring out that if you pair him with a strong front-line tank and 1-2 mages, he becomes almost unstoppable without having specific counters. MG dives while the other tank protects, you can’t attack MG b/c he absorbs too much damage but you can’t ignore him b/c he stuns/sleeps and even has enough damage potential to kill a squishy target.

And he won’t win 2v1s himself, but he can easily win 2v3/4s if he has a competent damage dealer with him.

You do realize this is a damn MOBA - right?

Countering is literally the one of the fundamental basics of a MOBA. It’s not my fault Blizzard thought it was a good idea to add a mode that breaks the core foundation of a MOBA and causes too many balance issues.

But - with that said.

To put it in your words, paraphrased a bit.

Mal’ganis is only as strong as you let him be - as in - if you’re going in clumping up. He shines.

I think designing heroes that punishes poor positioning skills in a AoE effect like Mal’ganis is bad for this game. Not because their kits are broken - because they’re not original. But this player base simply can’t figure out how to position themselves correctly despite being level 400 or even more.

Maiev had the same problem and still is broken in QM because people simply don’t care about positioning and poking correctly.

Well to be fair, Muradin does way more damage (least it feels like it to me) then he does I think?

But I do agreed Malganis is OP. Nerf his sleep or up the cooldown on his Q.

Note: I dont mean big nerfs ethier. Baby taps is all he needs to get him down to a good level I think

What needs to actually happen is MAKE IT ACTUALLY GO ON COOLDOWN WHEN IT GETS INTERRUPTED DURING THE WIND UP TIME.

I think that’s most of the issues. But I expect Blizzard to completely gut the ability instead of doing a simple fix.

Muradin and Diablo do far more damage - Mal’ganis damage only sky rockets if.

1: Padding stats with DC.
2: The entire enemy is clumping up for him to hit all of them. And that’s your fault.

I known they’re not same, but doesn’t Mal’Ganis do everything better than Yrel without the possibility of being interrupt and being slowed?

Hahahaha. Not even close. She can easily out-sustain a Mal’ganis with her level 1 talent on her auto attacks. But this requires skill but… dude… my friend who showed me that play style. He just. DIDN’T. DIE.

Really the only reason I dont play Yrel (I have a soft spot for the space goats) is that every time I go to charge something up some one CC’s me. Yah I know what her trait does, but it isnt always ready.

Hard CC counters every hero though, and not every hero comes with a hard CC either.

MG is still overtuned and his way rate and pick rate attest to that. Why on earth haven’t we seen more nerfs?

Listen - hard CC does not counter every hero the same. You do understand this? I see this argument be thrown around lately and it’s completely fundamentally flawed.

There is varying differences between CC a Mal’ganis with a stun than it is silencing a Tracer. If you don’t understand that. Well. I dunno.

Not only that, but Mal’ganis self-sustain and stun comes with ONE ability. CCing that ability is much more damaging to Mal’ganis than stunning a Muradin during leap. Cause you know - Avatar and Stone healing.

The sub trash ruining game flying 1v5 into cc land proves otherwise.

There are still plenty of bad Mal’Ganises out there, and soft CC works against him quite well. I had a match against a Mal’Ganis earlier tonight, where he died almost every time he dove into our backline, and I ended up with more kills than he did…

… as Lucio.

I think just reducing the stun time from 0.75 to 0.50 would do much. Or make the last swipe’s area a bith smaller.

Everything else is good. Maybe increase his sleep so he has still that control.
