Asia’s low tier class has a lot of those.
I have to whole-heartedly disagree that “any hero” can win a 2v4 if paired with another competent player. There are so many terribly under-powered heroes in this game, that only do well in extreme niche situations. MG is not one of them, he’s the opposite. He shines in most situations and in most matchups but fails in a select few (or if he’s being played poorly).
What I want are heroes that perform well when played well, but don’t out-perform the field when played at the same level as a different hero. Counters not-withstanding, because that’s a different story. I never said anything along the lines that heroes shouldn’t have counters. But making heroes that require niche counters hurts game balance, and leads to MG being over-played and over-banned b/c he’s just over-tuned.
And yea I can pretty much agree that QM basically breaks this style of game, but frankly it’s the most interesting iteration and has kept me hooked, where-as draft just ends up frustrating me (even more than QM, b/c at least in QM I can be frustrated with the comp rather than teammate incompetency).
And yea, fine, people can’t position and that makes MG look good, but he shines in two key scenarios:
- In tight quarters or maps that require 5v5 team fights.
- In 2vX fights where he has just one other competent player.
Thing is, those two scenarios account for most engages on most maps.
MG fails when the enemy team has a counter from the small subset of chars that counter him. As he should, as any character should. Problem is, he shines TOO MUCH when you don’t have a counter, which ends up being more times than not. Oh, and he has excellent waveclear and lane presence. Oh, and he isn’t mana intensive so he can stay in fights.
Look, if I get blown up by a Tracer b/c my team didn’t have a counter to her in QM, fine. I won’t see another Tracer in the next 10 games b/c she is easily countered and needs a specific scenario to shine. I can deal. MG is, again, the opposite of that. He shines as a baseline, and is only bad when you have the right set of circumstances.
He just needs tuning, it’s that simple. I don’t know how one argues against that given the current state of this game. Unless of course you’re doing nothing but queuing as him, queuing as a direct counter to him, or playing draft where he’s banned out most of the time anyway.
Dont clump.
He doesnt do damage unless you are clumped. He cant sleep your whole team unless clumped.
He isnt tank-level durable unless you are clumped.
Etc, etc. Instead of playing terribly against him and then complaining when you allow him to shine, spread and counterplay him.
Its like saying butcher is OP because you suicide into him till he complete quest at minute 7.
Thats not oo, thats lame on your part.
You can actually nerf his damage, CC and sustain all by yourself by spreading a bit.
You are welcome
MG free week LOL! Twentychars
Overpowered not overtuned you pleb.
If they lowered his move speed from Night Rush, he would be alright. As of now, all Mal’Ganis needs to do is: Jump into the fight, get low, Night Rush out, heal up, repeat.
Meh, sounds like a lot of people still spewing dribble.
Instead of exploiting his obvious weaknesses (being kited), I see most people just standing there or very slow to react to his abilities. Both of his ults have cast times also including his sleep.
Sounds to me like a lot of people in here need to pay more attention to positioning and avoiding his telegraphed combos.
Like 75% of fights over objectives in this game are tight quarters where you have literally no choice but get hit by his abilities. He’s overtuned, and does too well in every category. It’s obvious he needs tweaks but Blizz just refuses to do so for whatever reason. We get a negligible “nerf” that doesn’t address the baseline problems with his kit, and then have to ride through a holiday week with nothing happening. Great stuff, makes me feel so happy to be playing HotS. The dev team certainly feels like they have a good grip on the problems with their game and are so quick to address them. Thanks Blizz!!!
Do you even care what you say is true? He does not have excellent lane clear or lane presence and will lose almost every time. I mean - unless you’re afking in the kitchen.
Again - WHAT?!
What are you even talking about? Most characters counter him. Hell - even something simple like a knockback like Raynor’s Q counters him.
Can you please just stop saying things that are so blatantly false?
Again, this isn’t unique to Mal’ganis. Many, many heroes punish for tight quarters encounters. I racked up 160k hero damage as Kael’thas on Raven’s curse. There’s countless heroes that punish grouping far worse than Mal’ganis.
So with saying things blatantly false as well being completely selective outrage.
Incorrect. My friend plays Muradin and I play Twin Blade Varian. We can easily 2v4 people. But this comes down to skill. So I can understand why most people can’t do this.
Zul’gin and Tassadar.
Butcher and Kael’thas.
Many heroes can do that. But that takes skill.
Just ignore this guy he’s confirmed bronze but goes around telling people they’re bad. Report for trolling and move on eventually he’ll disappear.
There doesn’t seem to be a difference between Strong and Overpowered these days with the communities.
I think Malganis is very strong and a solid addition to the warrior meta, but I’ve never once thought that he is breaking the game and needs immediate fixing.
He responds to almost every single anti-Mal’Ganis post with the exact same drivel. Assuming you’re referring to StrikerJolt, that is.
Yup - and no one has ever refuted any of my points yet. (y)
And with you blatantly lying about him being able to solo lane and having good lane clear. lol.
At least I don’t lie about Mal’ganis. At least I don’t have selective outrage. At least I don’t say things like “Barely anyone counters him.”
Lul. How dare you call my stuff drivel.
You’ve been refuted plenty, you’re just too dumb to realize it. I call your stuff drivel because if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, well…
I played him earlier and he didn’t feel op, just powerful
Show me one post that defeats my points and I’ll admit wrong.
But I don’t lie about things like you.
Complaining about Mal’ganis punishing tight groups.
So should we also nerf Kael’thas, Jaina, Gul’dan, Falstad, Kel’thuzard, Maiev, Malthael, and Sonya?
I don’t see you crying about them.
What about combinations heroes like
Zul’gin + Tassadar.
Illidan + Tassadar/abby/Auriel.
Twin Blade varian + Tassadar/abby.
Gul’dan + Auriel.
Should I continue?
Why aren’t you complaining about those heroes being able to 2v4.
Sorry bud, not engaging. I’ve already refuted those points in several other threads. Not going to keep reiterating the same things over and over to someone who puts a blindfold on and their fingers in their ears shouting “LA LA LA I CAN’T HEAR YOU!” over and over. Continue until you’re blue in the face, but you’re trying to fight the ocean by throwing buckets of water against the waves.
Lol. Okay.
I guess you don’t have a post.
I can keep replying here all day! Again, I’m not playing this game with you. You’re just a troll.
