[Mac] Game crashes on startup

After initial loading (hots logo), open login screen, after couple of seconds message “Authentication, connecting” appears and then i get crash.

I’ve tried to reinstall game and bnet client, make a repair and settings reset - nothing helps.

My hardware: mbp 16 2021, macos ventura 13.4.1

Have the same problem here… the same OS, so I think it might be something with macOS :frowning: hopefully they’ll fix it soon!

Same problem here - played HOTS last night and game won’t launch today. Get to the authentication screen and crashes.

I’m running MacOS, but Big Sur 11.6.2 - I wonder if any PC users have ran into issues?

Yeah, I was actually playing this morning and then decided to break and came back this afternoon and it wasn’t working. It’s pretty frustrating. I tried removing Battle.net and what not and that made it so now I need to update but then the Launcher crashes. So something is going on.

Hey all,

We will be investigating these crashes for the Mac client when logging in. When the crash occurs if you get an error pop-up please provide the code in your reply so we can gather those.

Thanks!

I haven’t updated to Ventura yet, and I’m still on Monterey OS. I was literally playing the game today. I went and took a break, launched the game, and it kept crashing at the same place. I have attempted a repair, re-install, and nada. Reset my MacBook Pro, but nothing.

This is the same kind of crash I get randomly when playing except now just at the startup. In game, it will just freeze and crash. Could have just played 3 games with no issue, but suddenly it just doesn’t want to work. It’ll crash all game and make it unable to play. The very next game, no issues.

Now it is just does the same thing without starting up.

This is more where I’m at. I tried reinstalling the client and now it’s stuck at update HotS, but when you click update or Scan and fix, it says: Whoops! Looks like something broke. BLZBNTAGT00001389

It only did this with HotS, my other games seem to work fine. But when I could get into HotS, my error code was similar to Tiger.

Impossible to get in the game. All other Blizz games work. Macintosh here, too.

Mine is saying a fatal error has occurred. The Battlenet app lets me complete the scan and says there is nothing to repair. It says there are no updates too.

Crashes at the same place each time - the authentication screen. When working, the indicator spins, but today the Authentication Screen has no spinning and crashes almost immediately

Crashes at the same time as everyone else. Same thing played this morning came back could not. I am a Mac User as well. I notice one thing different though when its says connecting the symbol next to connect doesn’t move, it usually does for me.

Like others have said, it crashes on the authentication page, where it says connecting…

I have the same problem in the Intel Mac 13.4.1

Tried re-installing both the game and Battle.net app with no joy.

Game traps on startup apparently during or after login authentication.
