Me personally, I just play her when ever I feel like it. The only things that stop me form playing wm are massive healing reductions like vs ana or horrible amounts of CC. In those cases I like to nope off whitemane.
I think unwavering faith is slightly better beacuse of its utility and thats the one I like to take. Martydom is better burst healing tho.
I dont like this talent at all.
1 when a fight starts you wanna ise financial power which means you wanna use W which means your not AAing
2 I dont think its not enough cooldown reduction to make a real difference. Maybe in aram when your constantly fighting but you dont usualy fight more often then 45 seconds at that stage of the game and its definitely CDR to use it twice in a fight.
3 it compets with one of thr best damage reductions in the game or turbo healing.

Guiding light is the only one i dont like. The reckoning upgrade’s vortex is awesome for any kind of aoe oriented team and aegis is just a really really good cleanse.
Its totaly cool to do that. Its more mana efficient and its usually safer to. Sometimes you just dont need to add more damage to a fight.
I love the playstyle so much its all i played for like a solid week on her release and post rework. It probably also helps that i played disc priest in wow and i used to play starcraft religiously.

Yeah, I see that as the “my Genji is hellbent on chasing halfway across the map” talent.
Starcraft prepped me for a lot of things. WM was just a bit too far. WoW probably played a pretty big role in you feeling more prepared to tackle Whitemane.
I think she was better pre rework just because more people could play her with out dedicating lots of time to learn her.
But
I dont think the rework is nearly as awful as people say it is.

Armor and healing reductions are good. Ana and varian are particularly annoying. If you don’t have the luxury of counter picking then do your best to avoid clumping to much and try to annoy her with CC and poke. Also in lane, try not to trade with her to much. Even if you win the trade against her, she’s likely also healed someone else.

Invasion is not a recent set. It was released in October 2000 ,so over 20 years ago.
And it was actually pretty hard to do. You have to get all your pieces together, not have them be destroyed, and manage not to lose in the meantime. To my knowledge, it was never used competitively.
Ive only recently gotten in to magic at around the launch of arena. Wish i was there earlier to experience some of these older sets : p

Well, it’s different. I used to play a lot, draft, go to regionals and qualifiers. But eventually I got sick of the mana system. It adds way more variance than even a card game should have.
Yeah, it sucks to get screwed by lands. Idk how bad it was back then but right now theres so much color fixing, 3 color lands, and flip lands so its not the worst thing in the world. There is also alotta ramp tho which can suck to play against.
