Is it ruining the joke if I explain, or try to find the explanation, meaning behind the lines/jokes?

Leoric = D1, D3, DI, D4(?) enemy/villian

Leoric is the true never dying Hero. Mercy’s quote just fits into his skeletal mouth. Especially considering my previous comics where I already used him as the representation of HotS (due to his own quotes and status as never dying undead).
So this is just about a necromancer trying to kill the never dying already dead undead. Poetic, truely, lol.
