Its been 90 days since Imperius, where's the new hero?

So, we know the AMA schedule for the next couple of months, but we’re lacking literally any remotely official information on who the next hero is.

Can we get someone on the Dev Team to take some time and finally give us some information on the road map of where new hero releases are going?

Do we really need a new hero every 3 months?

@Darak I love you too but these are ironically mentioned in the code of conduct so you better off edit that. nevermind I’m an idiot.

Anyways… I really like what they have been doing in the past couple of months it’s nice to see a lot of heroes being changed with slight buffs and nerfs, maybe next week will get some kind of teaser finally? I hope so, they said it’s the biggest patch in hots history and could have a slight change to include a hero.

reported for thinking this is steam…
And talking with yourself AGAIN.

And is that really a rule on Steam? lol. Another good reason to keep not using Steam.

Yes.

Can’t tell if sarcastic or not but that’s a terrible reason to not to use it tbh, but that’s a discussion for another day.

So that quote is talking about Imperius, and then “a string of cool events” and then the next hero.
Now, “a string” sounds to me like more than one, so at the very earliest we could expect the next hero reveal when Caldeum Complex ends, I think
(the “string” of events would have been Resistance → Caldeum).

But it is posible that we’ll get another event before that, ending up with something like
Resistance → Caldeum → ??? → new hero → (Summer Event?)

For now, we’ll have to stay patient, and not expect any teasers until Caldeum is officially over (though some think we already got teasers within Caldeum Complex flavor texts )

True, but (as discussed in some other threads), some of us think they meant the biggest balance patch in the game’s history.
I suspect they might have been hinting at the much-requested major Tassadar rework, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I end up being absolutely wrong (wouldn’t be the first time :stuck_out_tongue:)

I forgive you <3

Dev comment: Deathwing has been balanced at last by not being included in the game.

calling it the biggest patch to rework tass would be a disappointment imo. im not saying he doesnt need it… just that i expect more. also, they would have to balance every hero in the game and still do more for a balance patch. we have had some extensive balance patches before.

By that, I really hope they don’t mean there are more coming. Ana’s rework was great, but Lucio’s rework ruined him and Chromie’s and Abathur’s reworks were decidedly meh.

Unless they also reworked Illidan, Chen, and TLV along with Tass, and released a new hero and/or map.
Then it’d definitely be at least one of the biggest patches ever.

(Yes, I would actually be okay with reworks for those 4 heroes. Mainly because I doubt they could accidentally make them much worse.)

Why this now that Blizzard is finally focusing efforts on the most important parts of the game that need to be addressed i.e. not new heroes?

Because they’re finally not under as much pressure to turn a huge profit now to keep investors happy, would be my guess. They can focus on things that won’t see an immediate monetary return.
