Is this game still around?

Have they fixed the floaty controls or having 1 map and perfecting it instead of having 10 terrible ones, or having some sort of catchup mechanic built in for teams falling behind? or is game still dead in the water?

yes, 20 charactersss

Returning to my US account after 3+ years I had to play Cursed Hollow five times in a row.
I’m happy with 10 (15) “terrible” maps.

Too much ketchup ruins everything. Why build an advantage if it’s just fussing around until 20, then brawl, and win based on just that? The game already offers underdog xp. Usually when a team falls behind it’s because the opponents are better and deserve to win. Dice rolls belong to the casino.

That would be a nightmare for some, but I love Cursed Hollow, solid map.

This game is still alive. Sometimes for good, sometimes for bad reasons.

I have both of them.

Spite. We’re keeping it alive out of spite.

Nope. The 10 terrible maps still exist unfortunately. Also, the games are only 20 minutes long. It needs to be more like 45 minutes before this game receives a huge influx of players.

We keep resurrecting it despite its protests.

What’s worse. A dead game or someone comment on a dead games forums?

A dead person trolling a dead game and then complaining on the dead forums.

Wut. Like the controls are similar to other mobas, if not outright the same.

Oh yes, perfect map. Totally real thing. I mean, if diversity is killed and the game becomes more and more boring, with less options, it might seem more “balanced” to some.
But the maps are great.

There are. If you fell behind by a lot of lvls, know that your team did that with safety nets.

I think the fact these forums are dead is the reason why it attracts these people. The Hots sub on Reddit is still popular enough that they would be downvoted and/or ignored, here we perhaps throw them too many bones.

I get that we all like different things, but the variety of maps is what helped to hook me in the first place. Excluding competitive play, different maps allow more niche heroes to shine, where they probably wouldn’t with limited, or only one map option.

A graveyard has plenty of bones to go around.

Take up necromancy and it becomes an Easter Egg hunt.

Do you really want to look for eggs from zombie bunnies?

Yes, yes I do! If we still had events, what a twisted mini-game that could be. It could be like the Lunar Festival game, where you had to destroy some kind of object before the gates opened to eventually unlock that marvelous rooster mount.

…yes?

Or just an entire map dedicated to it with a twisted rabbit nexus lord that wants us to collect questionable items they call Easter Eggs to summon some undead elderich horror that prefers to take on the appearance of an overly large and slightly expired bunny.

Give it an old 1920’s gangster accent while we’re at it, because why not?

incorrect. other mobas have ability to not feel like driving a h1 hummer.

according to pro play its non existent. when you get behind other then some minions attacking ur base and your able to get that exp easier there is no catchup mechanic built in.

The maps are terrible and its been well documented from the majority of the playerbase and pro players. 1 map isnt boring when the game is built correctly for repeatability. This is why league and dota are still going very strong.

The issue with ur arguments is that they are easy to disprove by dota and league being MASSIVE and hots having a few devs and a playerbase maybe peaking 1000. And its documented what people had issues with when they left and pros stopped playing…
