Im getting leaver over and over from this bug, HELP

I get a bug where the hero pick phase just sits there with “waiting for players” for about 3 minutes until I get LEAVER. This has happened 5 times in the last week and now all of my matches are noticeably SUPER TROLLY. I won the lottery of bad luck and I need help. Feels like that episode of Black Mirror - White Christmas; now I’m in a matchmaking nightmare where people die 9-11 times each match and are noticeably toxic. Its not fair :frowning:
Lastly, i noticed that my BlizzAPP is 32 bit when I do control+alt+delete (task manager). Could this be part of the problem?

Seeing quite a bit of packet loss on the first hop which would be the computer’s connection to the router\modem. Are you on a wireless network? If so we’d recommend testing on a wired connection. If you are on a wired connection already, what network card are you using? Do you have any programs like Killer Network Manager or SmartByte installed?

I have a wireless connection, but plugged in to a $200.00 Netgear Nighthawk WiFi Range Extender. I’m upstairs and about 15 yards away from the main modem. My internet stays maxed out so Its not normal for me to randomly get disconnected. It only happens in Heroes of the Storm, and specifically only during Hero Pick phase because the universe is trolling me.

My internet speed is typical when I run speed tests. Just outside of Dallas, TX with 12.1 Mbps download and 6.04 Mbps upload.

My problem DOES occur when no other devices are on in the house.

I have a house in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and I never had this problem, so maybe it has something to do with my location or the wireless variable.

Nope! This is good news because it narrows things down.

Regarding the rest of this, can you try temporarily wiring directly into the router? it’s possible the signal between the range extender/router isn’t stable enough to maintain connection. Your speed tests aren’t going to be relevant because in this case we’re not worried about connection speed but connection stability.

If it persists while wired directly into the router, let’s get a new WinMTR so we can look for more problems.

Would like to addon, we would want to try the wired connection however if this is absolutely not possible in anyway, we’d like to try without the range extender. So we’d be connecting directly to the main modem.

While being here in Texas for the next couple of months, I, unfortunately, CANNOT do a direct connect to the modem

SmartByte is not compatible with my computer so I am currently working on running Killer Network Manager. If I can get this going, I will do Unranked again with this running in the background. I am a little confused as to which download to get though. I’m on Windows10 and this is the first one on the list, is this ok?

We actually wanted to make sure that you didn’t have those programs installed as they can potentially cause connection issues depending on how the priorities are set. If you didn’t have them installed to begin with then we don’t need to worry about them.

Oh haha. My bad. Well I never installed either of those so we’re good.
However, I will not be able to do a direct connect to my modem so I guess I cannot play Heroes of the Storm then.

True shame because I was planning on getting a 1 year Boost Pack and making this one of my main past times. Oh well, thanks for the tech support <3
