I know its a little early to think about next fall’s event, but this came to me while thinking on a new costume idea for Chen. This event could start in September and go until the holiday event following after.
For anyone not familar, Brewfest is an annual WOW holiday based on the real life Oktoberfest in Germany, which celebrates Bavarian history through good food, dancing, and a lot of beer. The WOW event features characters getting themselves soused, racing on rams, and stuffing themselves with sausage. So what if this event was brought to the nexus?
Costume Ideas:
Chen the Chow-down Champion: This would be Chen Stormstout dressed in liederhosen and a feathered hat. He would be armed with his trophy as a club and carrying a traditional wooden keg in his arm.
Bar Maid Johanna: This would be Johanna dressed as a traditional Barmaid, armed with a (not-so soft) pretzel shield and a string of sausages for a flail.
Keg-o-Matic Gazlowe: Gazlowe would be in a liederhousen outfit like Chen, but his robot would be themed for the event and have a large beer keg attached to its back.
Wolpertinger Murky: Murky would be dressed as the wow creature of drunken delirium, the wolpertinger. He would be in a full costume with bunny ears, antlers, wings, and have sharp fangs in his mouth.
Grilling Master Blaze: Blaze would be wearing armor that looks like he’s a walking grill robot. He could either spray beer or oil to spread his flames.
Sausage Seeking Butcher: The Butcher would be dressed in traditional clothes or a chef’s outfit, and would scream, “SAUSAGE!!!” instead of “MEAT!!!”. His meat drops are replaced by sausages.
Mounts:
Brewfest Ram: If this is based on the brewfest in the game, then of course rams with beer kegs on their backs would be necessary as mounts.
Brewfest Kodo: The horde version of the brewfest mount.
Brewfest Barrel: This is a funny one I thought of. It’s just the character rolling on top of a barrel. If its too much of an animation effort, they could limit to a costume specific mount for Chen.
Floating Pretzel: A character would sit upon a floating giant soft pretzel.
Sausage Snake: A serpetine mount made of sentient sausages!
Giant Wolpertinger: A giant rabbit with antlers, wings, and fangs to ride on. (we don’t have a rabbit mount yet…)
