Idea for Auriel rework

Auriel is Angel of Hope, yet her kit only does wonders when her team is in a leading position and worse off more they are punished. Quite opposite of hope.

One interesting way to create her unique identity is to base her heal on how much her team is getting damaged, similar to her Empathic Link level 7 talent that gives her energy based on how much was her chosen target damaged. She should still have her Q and E and her general Trait that her damage provides Energy, but instead of her having a hero dedicated to doing damage, she would now receive energy based on how much damage ally heroes took around her.

This way she would have more energy more dire situation gets.

As for fix on Resurrection as it’s fundamentally flawed, I would suggest something that works better with her Empathy Trait. She provides small shields to surrounding allies on short CD. That would block small parts of damage and would make her Trait more efficient. That way she has answer to poke and to burst pick-offs.

i think its a really good solution! auriel is tricky to balance right now because she only works with hyper carriers. with your idea this problem is solved! there could be a talent that give you some damage done by the target as energy on 7 (switching the talent and basic and changing the numbers) or giving resist to the target (without reducing energy generated).

as for heroic i agree that Resurrection can work, especially with aegis doing the same job but better. the new heroic should effect multiple targets and your idea is really great! its talent can even be her level 20 shield of hope (increase the shield the lower the hp), while res will become a lvl 20 talent instead (with appropriate cd).

That would be really good solution for keeping her Resurrect option, while being viable. It also lines up with other on death talents (Malthael, Johanna, Fenix and others).
