I never thought I would see the day

But this person has more persistence (and patience) than I ever could.

I was an idiot and forgot to check their profile after the match, this was from the loading screen as I had never seen anything like it. They weren’t terrible, but I would imagine that many levels could only come from playing mostly ARAM and/or AI.

It was definitely interesting to see.

Hm. Game is roughly 2000 days old. That’s 5 levels a day, with an average hero level around 110. Even with boost it takes 4-6 matches to gain a level, longer matches preferred, QM is optimal, even that is 25 matches every day, about 10 hours.

Some dedication.

Might be a dev / promo account. Back during old Heroes I remember seeing someone with at least half the pool at level 20 (max).

Yeah I saw one of those in Hots 1.0. I dunno how they were allowed to bring it to a live server.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the one Hoku spotted was one too, I’ve never seen even the most dedicated AI grinders being over ~5000 or so.

I didn’t think of that. As far as I was aware, devs had their own personal accounts on live servers, but I suppose one could have gotten loose in the wild.

Yikes! That’s dedication. I kinda hope they actually used botting in AI to get that high. I think the highest account level I’ve seen has been in the 3000 range.

Yea 2500 is my highest so far so that has to be a botter.
No one can reach that lvl without botting everyday since launch.

Same goes for people in D3 who has over 12000 pargon lvls now. They are all botters.

I’ve never seen higher than some 4000s and 5000s and I check lots of profiles, even some randomly in gen chat when bored in a long que. Those were pure AI accs.

That 9600 has to be some abandoned tournament account or dev account.

Actually, vs A.I. gives less xp. So probably a lot of QM.

And a lot of boosts.

I was trying to think of all the XP bonuses that could be applied, such as boosts and party and mode bonuses, but even so, I do think the chances of it being a dev, promo, or tournament account somehow ported to the live servers seems more likely. Because even with every bit of XP gain, I can’t imagine how many hours of play time that would be.

WHOA

IKR, I thought I was a "dedicated’ HOTS players until I saw that. I’m a total casual apparently.

Did a bit of thinking and researching, somebody 2 years ago mentioned “tournament accounts are 7800”.

Anyway, playing a lot is a thing, but I’ve seen level 500+ on a single hero. I think 574 or so. My highest is 105

We had people here for in the forum that where complaining, that the highest achievable Hero Level is 999 and after that there wouldn’t be any progress

You’re ahead of me. I still don’t have one at 100 yet. But then I’m a dilettante who plays most of the roster.

When someone gets to that level they should be able to purchase a mastery ring that covers half the battleground.

Well. I don’t even have 999 levels overall.
Meaning, I can’t imagine this being a problem.
I mean, 9001 is a little hard. 6 years, level 800, I only need like 70 more. Add 10 if I have to do it OTP.

I am just under account level 2000, and most people I play with are between 1k and 2k. The highest level I have on my friends list is just above 3000.

I may or may not have a level 270+ Artanis…

Then you’re missing 30 levels
