I think it’s fun. Let’s me practice my typing skills.
If you actually cared about “not contributing” and weren’t just seeking attention, you wouldn’t have posted and bumped the thread five hours after OrangeJuice.
Stopped reading there. Went completely over your head buddy
Evidently it did
If it was sarcasm, I couldn’t tell. People are honestly that dumb, so you can’t blame me. If it wasn’t sarcastic, well, reread my post.
That. Was. Awesome!!
Or maybe I left the forum tab open for a while, looked back at it, saw your thread, and replied seeing as it was on the front page for me. Hmmmm
Reminds me of the
MEDIVH AND GUL’DAN IDENTICAL Q GG DAED GAEM
scenario. Overlaps are bound to happen, no?
It’s not my fault that you didn’t pay attention. It’s also not my fault that you keep posting in the thread and bumping it, contrary to your original statement of how you’re not going to contribute to “whine threads”.
Cool. No one cares what you think.
Wheni started i did not care about that, and still largely do not care as all of the WoW roster is essentially OC to me.
Those came after her announcement iirc.
Irrelevant.
You mean Atlantis, right?
I thought orphea was kinda interesting due to there being some kind of lore associated with her.
but qhira is just kinda there.
Clearly.
That’s great for you, but you’re in the minority.
Orphea was first mentioned in Rise of the Raven Lord - published April 30th, 2018.
Orphea’s first full appearance was in Secrets of the Storm - published June 25, 2018.
Orphea was announced as a playable character during Blizzcon 2018 which took place November 2 - 3, 2018, and added to Heroes of the Storm as a playable character in the November 13, 2018 update.
So no, they did not.
No, I very much mean Wakanda.
- Both are technologically advanced civilizations that rely on anachronistic weaponry (swords, spears, ect).
- Both have been ravaged by some major disaster and have only a few survivors.
- Even more similarly, Qhira’s survival of the major disaster - and martial prowess, and survivor’s guilt - mirrors Okoye’s.
- Qhira’s accent is distinctly Xhosan, closely mirroring T’Challa’s (and the accents of almost every other Wakandan character).
Qhira could literally be copy and pasted into a Marvel comic or movie with no modifications and fit right in as a Wakandan warrior. Maybe replace the crystal with some Vibranium if you’re feeling peckish.
Fits many interpretations of the Atlantis myth .
Atlantis is the Ur-Example (both Wrath of Gods style and selfinflicted)
Not exactly a rare theme, rather a default for the lone survivor archetype, which is insanely old and widespread.
Sounds generic african to me, but i have not yet seen that movie.
Also the video implies use of magitech rather then high-tech and a (religious) reverence to the Singularity at the center of it all, fitting Atlantis way better.
Last but not least last time i checked for the Cinematic Universe at least Wakanda is fine, and not sunken/lost.
That’s fine/cool and all, but the fact that in your perspective they’re “essentially OC” doesn’t mean anything (nor makes them OC).
Since you basically chose not to know anything about their character / personality / race / relations, but I -who care about stuff like that- couldn’t choose to know Qhira even a little bit. And that’s the problem for most based on what I saw.
Ppl don’t have that big of a problem with Nexus Heroes. They have problems with Heroes no one could knew.
That doesn’t mean my comparison is invalid.
See above.
See above.
There is no “generic African” accent. There are multiple regional accents that correspond to specific areas of the continent.
I don’t know why you’re leaning so hard on Atlantis after admitting that you haven’t seen Black Panther and don’t know how it portrays Wakandan culture.
I’m assuming you skipped Infinity War too, because Wakanda got trashed pretty hard by invading forces (not to mention its population further ravaged by the Thanos Snap, but that goes for everywhere).
Cool. Next time I will complain that they brought too many OCs into Infinity War and Endgame, because I have not yet watched any Guardians of the Galaxy or Spider Man movies.
Did I just agree with a HailFail post?
Apparently not, considering that you’re contributing to this thread by bumping it.
Kith be coming in with the burn, ouch mate
tru tho
It’s not much of a burn, just pointing something out:
If you really, genuinely do not care about a topic, then don’t post in it. Let it grow old and die.
The lifespan of a topic is directly linked to how much attention it gets, regardless of if it’s positive or negative, so the only winning move is to not play.
