Hots on mobile maybe?

This may sound funny after that diablo fiasco… but i actually want hots on mobile, im working away from home monday to thursday, when i get home, i have to plan to play with friends on ps4 and bla bla and so on, but what if hots came out on mobile? I really want this, i mean leauge did it, hots should aswell, i really love hots and be able to play it when ever i want where ever i want, is a dream of mine, if devs reads this forum? Pls consider it + the player base would actually incress, if u dont belive it, ur ignorant then, imagin all the people who cant afford pc or wont get a pc bc they got kids and an adult life, at work, lunch break, playing 1 game hots! WITH UR FAVORIT WORLD OF WARCRAFT CHARACTERS!! Im happy just thinking of it haha, pls, consider it

Pls keep comments nice and friendly

There was an exact copy of this topic some days ago, if it ever happens (unlikely with current dev resources) it would likely be a very bare-bones version of HotS, probably an ARAM with lowered graphics and mechanics.

Like Wild Rift is for LoL. Or Diablo Immortal for D3.

The full HotS client itself is huge and very CPU intensive. Then you’d have to translate it in entirety to the ARM achitecture. There is probably no phone in the world that wouldn’t lag, even lower middle tier gaming PC’s get lag with HotS at medium details during fights.

I have a computer from 2017 that lags with hots when there is a 5v5. And I don’t have a cheapo processor and gpu. They cost me $900 retail. I wouldn’t even want to think how much it would lag on my Samsung Galaxy.

That game would need to be an extremely basic Heroes of the Storm reduced to the very simple things like auto attacking and casting spells on a tiny arena or map.

Ahh didint know there was a topic before mine, sry for that

Im okey with a ripoff or almost simillar to hots on mobile, i just like that the characters i growup with is playable and i would be okey if it was aram only or what ever

I would also be okey with hots reduced to fit mobil, but why do u think it will lag? I play lol on mobil with 60 fps option and it works with out lag

definitely a no for me , it will have to dumb down a lot of abilities and divide the already small playerbase .

If its a no for you, keep it to urself, a mobil version for us who want wont affect ur pc version, lets keep it positiv so it can happen and everyone will be happy

No worries. It was actually buried quite a bit down the list of posts, it was 7 days ago now that I checked. Though this poster initially suggested playing on a controller, not mobile.

I would be okey for consel aswell but im sad that lol came to mobile and not hots… i wish hots was more of a thing and popular, love it

People have the worst internet connections as it is, HOTS on mobile would be my nightmare come to life. Please no.

Vikings on mobile seems a good idea.

Why would you say no? Since ur not the one asking for mobile version? Keep playing on pc then and let us who wants play on mobile? Its not like im asking for crossplay lol.

Who plays mobile games. It just sounds horrible.
Just talk to people

easy.

Just release it on iOS only to start.

Anything from like, the last 5-6 years of iphones will be able to run it acceptably on the CPU side at a playable (vsync 30 or 60) fps.

Android is where it gets messy, not sure exactly how much control developers can have over what SoC is in the users phone in terms if it will install or not.

That technical matter aside, I don’t think it would make any sense for the “full experience” but it would be neat if an ARAM-like mode could be done that way.

Actually, for how Blizzard games work with data transfer, I think you’ll find most people using phone plans with decent coverage will provide better latency/ping versus what many ISPs provide.

Mostly because it is latency you care about, not bandwidth.

I have Civ6, and a bunch of older RPGs on my phone. They’re technically mobile games. Even if they’re ports/emulation.

Most modern mobile games, yeah… they’re pretty trash at being games.

And while it would be cool to see, I do think a mobile game drawing from HotS would be bad at the end of the day, due to the P2W nature that mobile games have forced on themselves.

Im ok with that but only if there’s a complete diferent game, more or less what Riot is doing with LoL. I don’t want the game to change to be more “phone-friendly”, and without crossplatform.

Tons of people. An overwhelming majority. Like, literally everyone I know with a phone has one game at least.

If we were on flip phones sure. But touch phones are spicy gaming platforms.

Like, do you guys seriously not remember our handhelds? Hello? Gameboy? Six AA batteries for like three hours of battery life on two colours, no backlight and a display that vanished if you got so much as an inch of glare?

And you’re on your tushy right now floored that people use backlit touchscreens with plugin charging that can hook up to USB, completely mobile (surely moreso than the GB, GBC, GBA, PSP, DS, 3DS…) and powerful enough to run pretty swarthy handheld titles?

It’s all in the perspective, Horsin.

Sure, I don’t see why it couldn’t be. It might even bring more attention to the game, especially if accounts and rewards are shared.

Just make it single lane. Heck, take Smite’s Joust mode, 3v3 in one lane. Totally palatable even for older phones. Then you get levels and shards and gold for winning and stuff.

Might actually encourage more people to play!

and games that were actually games. Not time wasting attempts to seduce you into spending money. Which is what most phone games sadly are.

Most games now are cheap concepts covered in expensive graphics.

Which is of course a market already kinda cornered by Supercell.
