Which is your Highest Level Hero?
#2

You should add a glossary section that includes commonly used terms in HotS language.

#3

Yes, but so can you. The post above is made editable by everyone.

Looking at my map table i suggest using HTML instead of markup of larger tables though, it shows a slider in the preview but squishes unpleasently when posted.

#4

Problem is, I forget a lot of terms that are often said in the language, so I’m definitely out of luck for remembering any of those terms. :stuck_out_tongue:

The post above is made editable by everyone.

Crap didn’t realize there was an edit button.

#5

Now you know, so make the wiki magic happen.

#6

Added a section for map details, it is probably better to have strategies and unique elements in text than a table.

#7

Let’s hope the trolls don’t edit and delete this but other than that I’ll happy to add some when I have the time after I solve this authentication issue I’m having with logging into the forums

Oh and this important, to all users who can add images and links and other trust lebel 3 stuff, DO NOT or else lower tiers are forced to remove those to edit the topic itself.

#8

Uhhh, I really hate markdowns specifically because of this:

How does even happen? It’s funny how there’s no way to adjust the width attribute for a table markdowns which makes it look really weird in some cases.

Oh my it worked!, this fix is painful though.

#9

The most egregious problem is rather that the preview is misleading, there it looked good with a slider on the bottom. Tried to changed those tables to HTML, but that generates insane walls of text that are annoying to edit or navigate through. Now i remember why i like to generate HTML (tables) from code and not write them myself.

#10

This why I have been using HTML tables in my two guides, they take a lot of space but at least it is readable, compared to this…

I’ll try to use my comment above as a test, lets hope it works or something idk.

#11

Alright, it looks like I fixed it, have to say that the fix solution is a messy code filled with Enter(s) just so it stops it from looking terrible, I have no idea how it looks on mobile (Vertically) but that’s really expected to happen when it comes to HTML forums.

#12

That sounds good, i´ll see to add some additional stuff today.

#13

Added some mechanics and terms. Somehow i did not mess up the table, phew.

#14

I think you should explain how mechanics work, rather than what… does it mean. I guess everyone know what armor does (you forgot about physical/spell armors) but someone may not know they those dont stack (unless tooltip says otherwise).

Similar to Slow (unless tooltip says otherwise, Lucio). There is also movement speed buff.

Alphabetical order would be nice.

Hero radii - all heroes got 2, one for terrain and one for “pvp” (can be same, can be different).

Blinds affect minions and summons as well, as far as I remember? This doesnt have to be so obvious.

(too lazy/scared to change it myself :))

#15

Added.

Maybe when it´s complete and i feel the compulsion to torture myself.

Understandable; it took me 10 edits to get the formatting for one additional sentence right. The preview feature is horrid in regards to tables.

#16

Isnt excel your friend in this case? Unless you already used it and it wasnt lol.
You could also use links to wiki, quite a lot of info there, less work for you.

#17

The point of a wiki is to have data represented infront of you, a wiki linking other wikis with the data is not a wiki.

#18

Added clarifications for spell/physical armor and block.

I begin to wish one could use Git here.

#19

Yeah, imagine 5 people editing separately at the same time would be a nightmare.

#20

Yes, i saw it once and the forum uses a plain overwrite system. If this thread should ever gain momentum this will be ugly.
