The Super Smash Brothers and Fire Emblem Heroes franchises have both offered polls in the past for the fans to suggest a new character within the game.
They let fans vote for their favorites and vouch to put the most requested character in the game. Seeing as Orpheia hasn’t been very well received, this poll would inspire the right dialogue within the HotS community.
To boot you get the added benefit of releasing a character that is in high demand. A win-win.
While you at it, how about accepting fan skin submissions? For at least a period of time every year?
What do you mean not well received? People complain about anything and everything all the time. The like/dislike bar on her spotlight video seems to tell a different story. Negative people are simply loud.
This forum accepts fan submissions all year 'round, though.
Several skins suggested here (well, in the old forum and/or reddit) have actually made it into the game, such as Azmodunk, Templar Li Ming, Luchador Diablo (I forget the actual name of the skin), and most recently Janitor Leoric.
As much as I love Orphea, I have to say that the like/dislike ratio of a youtube video is a patently terrible way to gauge public opinion.
With Warcraft 3 Reforged coming it’s possible Blizzard could port over the updated designs for each Hero such as Grom, Cairne, Vashj etc.
The art style doesn’t match at all. Heck they specifically said WC3R’s art style was because they didn’t want it to look anything like HotS.
