I just realized that these heroes have the same voiceovers like:
1. Alarak - Discord of the Tal’darim
2. Artanis - The Dio Brando of Aiur
3. Zeratul - Dark Templar Soldier 76
4. Blaze - The Firebat Grommash Hellscream
5. Illidan - Yasuo of the Night Elves
6. Rehgar - Cassidy of the Horde
7. Rexxar - Wolverine of the Horde
8. Anub’arak - The Nerubian Reinhardt
9. Li Ming - The Azula of Diablo
10. Medivh - The Raziel of Warcraft

Kel’Thuzad, Xul, The Lich King, Deathwing (not sure on this one), and Uther all share a voice actor. You can really hear it in KT/Uther - Kel’Thuzad’s voice is literally the exact same but with a filter.

Jaina & Valla has same VA, same VA one to Nova & Li-Ming, Dehaka & Abathur also same VA.

Thrall, Varian, Zul’jin, Leoric are all by Chris Metzen.

Steve Blum did Butcher, Abathur, Rexxar, Dehaka.

Distinct voices, but by the exact same person. Great talent.

I always thought varian and thrall sounded similar

Blaze and Tyrael also share a VA

Only Varian and Thrall are voiced by Metzen in HotS. Leoric is voiced by Joe J. Thompson and Zul’jin is voiced by André Sogliuzzo.

Steve Blum is however the voice of about two millions characters.

Tyrael is voiced by Jonathan Adams while Blaze is voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson.

Artanis and Garrosh are both voiced by Patrick Seitz.

Really? I didn’t know that. He voiced Leo in D3 and he sounds the same in HotS.
(In some odd way, he also sounded like Garrosh at first)

edit- apparently not even in d3, but d1 :thinking: I shouldn’t trust some sites data.

My favorite HotS VA, of course, is John de Lancie.

For those who don’t know, besides the highlord, he voiced Q in Star Trek and Frank Simmons in Stargate SG-1.

I can’t imagine how much they had to pay to get him onboard for HotS but it must have been expensive.

Valla and Jaina are both voiced by Laura Bailey.

That is really confusing. At first the grunt I would place money on being Metzen or Seitz. Speech part is same VA as HotS Leoric (Thompson).

Now that I think back, and I know my VA’s, he voiced the “who brings warmth of light into my tomb” back in the original game.

Seitz is one of my all time favorite voice actors. He’s not a run of the mill VA, he did voices for Final Fantasy (including the Kingsglaive film), the Overlord in Transformers, almost every popular anime ever translated from Japanese to English.

In League of Legends, he is the voice of Kogmaw, Lucian and Renekton.

Btw, he is also Cho’gall (the Cho part, in particular) in HotS.

It’s awesome to have him here too.

Don’t forget N’zoth and Trade Prince Gallywix. And a buncha random demons in Legion. And a dragon.
