Heroes of the Storm Balance Patch Notes - October 7, 2020

Why would they create such a feature in a funmode, when you can report players for feeding?

This is a core feature of the game that probably flags players with alarming number of hero deaths aside from those playing Murky

Basically it exists for all modes but is only an issue in ARAM due to the reduced death timer in combination with Leoric’s trait and The Lost Vikings having three different death timers along with a respawn heroic that pave the way for constant deaths

Even if you are right, it still bothers me that the devs take the lazy solution to just ban heroes and not remove this feature for aram.

It’s probably a lot harder than it seems from a game developer standpoint

Might seem simple to us though

It’s probably temporary until they develop a fix for this

Better to simply buff the values than have to deal with few heroes who can easily escape even after you corner them (Such as Genji, Falstad or even Sonya on Infernal). Shield and HP values only been inverted and the shield restoration kicks in only after 8 seconds as is the case with the core I believe.

Sometimes it is just preferable to tank the damage and finish your suicide run. If the enemy team gets the same idea, you can swiftly react and inform your guys to defend as you would usually send a replacement played to soak the lane for half a minute.

If you get distracted enough to miss two players, that is on you, but letting a single player get away with it is a stupid gimmick.

so they escape, the well heals.

What’s the problem?

You scared them off, it heals?

So they escaped, okay?

They didnt forget to fix the samuro fountain bug, they just don’t care about it.

You are a very selective reader aren’t you. Lets rather focus on the inconsistencies with well placements on certain maps. Some maps haven’t been adjusted for five years and the devs implemented 2 mini towers on Battlefield for a very good reason.

It’s not a problem only on Infernal but on Dragon Shire as well, especially with how far it is located from the main point of interest (objective) and how there are two avenues of regular escape from it.

Explain this bug to me

Swap with you’re clone right before your B channel is over to instantly full heal. Its extremely powerful early game.

Seems like a feature rather than a bug

Can you provide a video of this in action?

I explained to you already why they likely chose to keep this mechanic in the game. It is not as good or useful as you think past the early soak stage. After a certain point you may not want to engage with half of your health missing, and without the queue command the images disappear the moment you teleport.

I know you did my original response to the guy earlier was that blizzard didn’t care for it, they didn’t really forget it.

They’ve done this before too and they ALWAYS end up having to tone the hero back down again. I don’t know why they keep doing this.

By this point it might as well be a feature, but the most important thing to note is that when you hit the fountain, your clones are suppose to despawn instantly.

Instead they persist for an extremely small window (like, microseconds small) and by queueing your D after the back, it’ll trigger automatically, ignoring how short the window actually is.

For a while it was complained as a bug, but given how long it’s actually been in the game, players started accepting it as a feature instead and are now utilizing it in their games. It’s part of the reason Samuro is a really strong solo laner.

I’m stupid so I don’t understand how to do this.

What is queuing?

I saw them self healing but I don’t how they did it.

I haven’t done it personally, but from what I have heard it’s just B, then hold shift and press D on a clone that you want to swap to after backing.

Queueing is basically you just setting up your next action to be pressed automatically so you don’t have to time it. Shift is the button for it.

Even if they increased the duration, the projectile is so unbelievably slow and narrow, that you have to count on it missing plenty of the time.

Spammable shield and then you can add the other survival tools and archon to max faceroll.
It should be an activable with a cooldown already.

Well having it be point and click like it used to be wasn’t exactly fair for the enemy team either

Believe it or not Mind Control can indeed work if you’re not terrible at landing skillshots
