I really want to be good at Whitemane but even if I feel like I’m doing a great work, it just feels like I have to do so uch stuff just to heal average.Correct me if I’m wrong, but pretty much the sequence of her healing might be like this:
Start with a Q on an ally
Use W on an enemy or the ally that you want to heal, to get value from W/E talent at level 1
Use searing lash to heal from dealing damage
Autoattack enemies as much as possible
Activate trait when you’re safe of taking damage or getting caught
If I make sure to do all of that, I just heal average, for example, a Malfurion just casts a Regrowth and then has to hit the Moonfires, and he can heal a lot just for doing that, same case for Anduin, Brightwing, Lucio, etc, etc. With Whitemane feels like you need to do so much stuff and risk yourself to heal the same as other healers wich are way easier mechanically. I don’t know if I’m missing a trick or anything but that’s how it feels to me.
She’s one of the hardest hero to master, so it’s normal to struggle at first. Position yourself better for more AA weave. Every sec, she has the potential of healing for 322 on 5 targets with AA only vs enemies.
Manage your desperation better with a limit of 1 per 4 sec, unless you absolutely need to do more.
Just spam QM each day and you’ll be familiar with all of her shortcomings and advantages in a few hours of cumulative play time. Because the game mode is the epitome of human unfriendly experience, you will be able to tell relatively fast if you are comfortable with her under less than ideal conditions.
For me, some heroes didn’t click until 50 games in, which was long after I acquired proper muscle memory. Now I’m pretty much as ease playing the entire roster because I can reliably predict how a certain scenario will play out before I commit.
You mention later on how Malfurion seems to top you in numbers, but you have to remember, Malf does sustain healing, so by it’s very nature, he is going to have higher numbers.
Healing on the scoreboard is not nessecarily impactful. Out of combat healing matters far less than in combat healing. Malfurion has better out of combat healing. Whitemane has fantastic in combat healing. Just absolutely godly.
It is very possible for someone to get last rites, or pyroblasted while at 20% health with 50% anti-heal, and still have Whitemane heal them to full before the ability connects. I don’t think anyone can top WM’s burst heal potential.
In exchange for that, she has an insanely high skill cap. I personally enjoy feeling like I’m herding cats, while running around like a decapitated chicken, but WM’s stress level isn’t for everyone. Getting the hang of her is a lot of practice.
(Also, definitely check out Waterlong’s guide as posted above)
man thank you so much, i learnt a lot fro ur guide, now i really feel i’m healing, i was not aware of the proper functionality of the zeal and the sinergy with clemency, i just stacked on 1 hero or max 2, realized clemency it’s a free zeal. Thank you so much again
