Ulrezaj is an exceptionally powerful Dark Archon born from the merging of 7 Dark Templar, and is controlled by and named after the dominant and most powerful personality.
Ulrezaj is one of the single most potent combatants in Starcraft history. Even among the already immensely powerful Dark Archons, Ulrezaj’s power is unmatched, and unlike other Dark Archons, who tend to burn out quickly, Ulrezaj was able to sustain himself through the sacrifice of his cult followers and the absorption of energies on Ehlna. However, despite his longevity and power, he was still very much driven mad by the constant agony all Dark Archons are in and the emotional turmoil of being multiple people at once.
As a Dark Archon, Ulrezaj drew much of his power from the Void, so much so that he actually leaked Void energies into his surroundings, resulting in the corrosion and scorching of normal matter in close proximity to him. His very presence was lethal.
Due to his immense power, many of his opponents find that evading him and wearing him down over time was more effective than attempting to stand firm against him.Ulrezaj takes the role of a Bruiser, but is himself designed to counter Bruisers. He is a fearsome foe in CQC and extended fights, but struggles against more flighty foes. Taking him head-on is extremely dangerous. Kiting him is a much safer and more effective alternative.
