Because players with new accounts mostly just search for something that interrest them and then care less how old the topic really is. Thats why i have always thought that topics more then 1 year old should automatic shut down and get locked by the admins.

Why not just deleting them then to not waste space for older topics, which aren’t intended to be recyceled again? I don’t understand the necro thing, but my opinion is irrelevant, because it’s not my forum anyway.
