I finally go this to work after doing these steps (and spending hours on this):
Complete Network Reset on my machine
Uninstalled completely my anti virus software
Deleted cache
Updated to 1111 and 1001 Cloudflare, then ipconfig/release, ipconfig/flushdns,ipconfig/renew
Rebooted machine
Was able to connect to both WoW and HotS appropriately afterward. I would rather not have to operate off of Cloudflare’s DNS server.
Same for me. It only started working after rebooting the machine with Cloudflare DNS previously set.

I tried with both cloudflare 1.1.1.1 and google’s dns and no go.
it’s been almost a day, i wager the issue is in amazon’s sao paulo datacenter, fix your stuff guys
give them a call, those status websites are complete nonsense, they work on manual reports…
So, to blizzard and everyone playing from americas.
This seems to be a bnet issue, not just hots.
I tried installing other games (D3 for example) and the same issue persists.
I can’t log in to D3, and when i log into hots none of the game modes are available, the shop doesn’t load, and the damned graphics for every mode/map are also blank screenshots.
I’ve been able to run the tutorials, but the shop & hero selection is empty. I cannot start any type of game in any way possible or even host a custom lobby. My profile and everyone else have no portrait and come up empty whenever I attempt to interact with it.
I have done everything I could think of, such as reinstallation, letting the app bypass my firewall, rerouting my ip adress, etc
I’m using the american server, live in the U.S - Texas and my ISP is sudden link.
WinMTR doesn’t seem to be able to pick up anything when I use it as well. Or maybe it did, but I can’t read it properly.

I’ve tried every option that was given and it wont work! What can i do?

The same problem here from Chile. I’ve already uninstalled the game and battle.net app multiple times, but the problem persists.
Yesterday I could play without problems.
Please fix the problem.

This worked for me, saw it before but I was actually waiting for Blizz to prepare a fix, thanks!
DNS 1.1.1.1 solved the issue for me. Blizzard should patch this ASAP.

Same here guys, setting up Cloudfare DNS (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1) solved the problem
I couldnt find any post on european server according to this problem so I post it here. Got exactly the same issue,european server,DNS ,reinstalation didnt help either.
My friend had the same problem and the only thing that worked was sharing my cache with him. Clearing his cache and placing my cache on his folder.
I’m not willing to share it here because I don’t really know if people can find personal info via my cache but I hope you guys have someone who will share their cache with you and that this could solve the issue for you.
I tried every option given in this post and i still cannot play the game, i hope they fix this soon. I’m from Argentina, Brasil server.

For those who the alternate DNS doesn’t work for, does a VPN client work instead? It may be firewall related instead for some of you. We appreciate all the information given so far. Please continue providing this for now.

Right-click on the network icon (Wi-Fi or cable) and select Open Network and Sharing Center
Select Change adapter settings
Right click on the local area connection and select Properties
Select internet protocol 4 ipv4
Enable Use the following DNS server addresses
For Google DNS - Add 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in the spaces.
For Cloudflare DNS - Add 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 in the spaces.

If another DNS service does not resolve the issue, please provide a WinMTR test running for 5-10 minutes while attempting to connect.
