I’ve not being able to auto login SC2 since a few months.
Usually the response to this kind of problem is scan/repair, reinstall the game.
I reformatted the PC, cleared all files, and after all the Windows updates were done installed the BNET app and SC2 to no effect. I have to enter the password every single time, and occasionally have to 2-step authenticate. Already ran scan/repair after the reformat too.
Is there any workaround for this? Should I remove 2-step authentication? I’m willingly to trade off a bit less security for a bit more comfort.
What about click to rectangle with "remember me "text next to it
Howdy!
This may require a combo fix if reformatting the computer didn’t resolve the issue. I would recommend the following steps:
Close the Blizzard app and SCII.
-
Reset your Blizzard account Password, this will also reset the server-side cache for the Blizzard account.
-
Goto your Documents folder → Delete the Starcraft II folder at this location. This action will reset your settings.
-
On your first Battle.net login. Above your Email select the planet icon → Try another region such as EU or Asia. Log into that and into SCII. Make sure the game fully loads up. Exit via the menus like normal. Log out of the Blizzard app and switch to Americas. Login again to retest.
Thank you!
Try launching SC2 from the executable instead of doing it from the launcher once, and it should ask you to login there and save the credentials for next time.
